Has anyone tried running the cable for the rear camera under the headliner?

@@matthewthecrappyguitarist How far under the headliner are you wanting to put the cable? I ran the wire under the headliner on the driver’s side of the car.

@nprform I have a Kia soul as well and was considering trying to run the wire from the front camera completely under the headliner and coming out the back. I was going to try doing a bit differently than you did but I ended up doing it the way you did in the video. It worked out really well. Getting that wire through the rubber on the back hatch was the hardest part. Thanks for posting that video

Can you mute the beeps/voice on startup etc...does it have voice commands?

@@Cut_to_the_chase_bro yes, you can mute the voice prompts in settings. You need to turn off “voice prompt tone”. The camera doesn’t have voice commands.

Thank you for the video. How much USB cable did you tuck in behind the roof liner? I have not purchased a dash cam yet, but I assume it comes with a fairly long USB cable so it can run to the fuse box. Or did you just swap it out for a shorter cable?

You’re welcome! I don’t know exactly how much I had to tuck, but I didn’t purchase a shorter cable. I would assume a few feet.

Does the wire not cover the driver side curtain airbag in the A pillar?

@@rootbear75 It does slightly. You can install the wire to avoid the curtain, if you wish.
