@ً I think not necessarily over-powered his stats are fine but I think incineroars move pool is much too big, like having u-turn and parting shot as well as access to fake out, close combat, darkest lairiet, the intimidate plus optional weather control with dynamax means you really have zero idea what an incineroar has or will use on the field. unlike venasaur, dragapult, rotom, Tapu fini and rillaboom who typically follow one of two sets with occasional variation otherwise being not optimal. Though I wouldn't say broken or OP until incineroar has taunt.

I notice Davide got so many crucial critical hit in his favour throughout the 3 matchups. Like at least 3 crit that matters. (OHKO) All of those matches Wolfey could have won turn into lost. Also the Sleep Powder spam too.

@@evanholden5671 eh, I understand its a viable strat but you have to admit venusaur torkoal is a bit of an autopilot strat when it comes to team-building. You can give it to anyone and it'll work. It introduces variance and most skilled players try to remove variance as much as possible. Thunderwave swagger is a viable strat but its still annoying because of the variance and winning because of variance (parahax, sleep turns) is still a bit cheap. And Davide is running sleep powder and yawn! And using both multiple turns in a row! He lost relying on variance and not adapting. I'm okay on the ladder, normally end around 900s.

Yeah, like yawn and spore are fine imho, cause they are 100% accuracy, but sleep powder being 75% is just too much luck based. Like if they use 2 sleep powders in a game and only win because both connect, they just won on a 56.25% chance. It just makes games unpredictable and not fun.

Commentators don’t seem to understand that in game 1 weezing’s neutralizing sealed the game by shutting off chlorophyll. It should also have been mentioned that regigigas didn’t use its ground move on coalossal to not activate weakness policy.

Neutralizing gas stops affecting things when it gets off the field, but it's still treated like it's there. It'll get affected by things like frisk or intimidate if it switches out on those abilities

Why people don't run Drain Punch on Regigas is beyond me. It really helps him make up for the residual damage he'll take from Life Orb and just by playing. Not to mention Dynamax attack boosts.

Generally speaking for dynamax purposes its better to have normal type moves as it gives you speed control and max strike coming from giga impact base 160 attack and stab one shots basically anything that doesn't resist it Ground and ice provide solid coverage, ground hits the rock and steel types that resist normal and ice can hit anything else that isn't already covered. The problem with drain punch being max knuckle is capped at 90 base power so its not much use within dynamax

VGC Rules in a nutshell: Anything allowed in the battle maison/Frontier/Tower is allowed including Birds, Genies, Etc. You guys need to realize that VGC is a different ball park from vgc. Do I think there should be some kind of streamlined ban-list for VGC? Yes. Should all sub-legendaries (Trios like birds, dogs, Genies), psuedo-legends, double spore be banned? No.

@@shawnjones5332 again, I didn't say all legendaries should be banned and while I partially don't disagree with your sentiment, there comes a point where you have to draw a line with the specific pokemon, items (Ie. 'Khanite and 'Menceite), or moves that become very problematic to the development of the official metagame. Games like Yugioh have a ban-list FOR A REASON: because some cards can break decks or archetypes that can make playing a bad time (ie Ultimate offering and Pot of Greed), and it keeps the meta more refreshing especially since there are thousands of cards to play. Why can't Pokemon VGC be any different?
