At 2:25, you said that the side-view mirrors are not heated and that feature is not available on the Limited. However, if you get the all-weather package with the crosstrek, it does come with heated side-view mirrors. You can see the button for the heated side-mirrors at 8:51 (bottom half of the rightmost knob).

Subaru is insane in getting rid of a manual handbrake in their other vehicles. I went for a 2019 Crosstrek because it had a real handbrake. I had a brake line blow out years ago and only a manual handbrake saved me.

Normal handbrake is only an option for US made Crosstreks unfortunately. Same goes for the 2.5 liter engine option. That is the only gripe I have with mine - the lack of torque. The power is fine, but it lacks torque. Even a tiny turbo would have helped

I'll be in the market for a new car in July. I have always loved the Crosstrek. One thing that drives me insane about Subaru (having been looking at them lately) is how they put accessories on the car (automatic rear view mirror w/ home link, auto dimming side mirrors w/ LED courtesy light, aero bars, seat back protectors etc.) It can drive the price up by almost $900. Also what's up with all the recalls. It seems like every time I turn around there is another recall. I'm wondering if I should buy a Subaru. I know recalls happen. I like the Pure Red. Nice videos.

Harry Mitchell those are small issues. I am the owner of a Subaru Outback which has lasted me 19years. That being said it has not been cheap keeping my car rolling. I have had to deal with the dreaded head gasket issue twice. Some say this problem is inherent in the boxer engine design.....I don’t know. Anyone looking to buy a 2020 CrossTrek should research cylinder deactivation (Subaru’s Auto Start Stop). All 2020 CrossTrek models have it. Unless the vehicle is an EV, any owner should be prepared for premature starter failure along with other engine problems. Research before you buy.

I’ve owned a 2019 manual 2.0 for about 6 months and I really like it! But what keeps me from LOVING it is the engine power. I don’t need a turbo -just put the old 2.4, 175 hp engine in it. At small cost in gas mileage, the extra 20 hp would solve the acceleration, towing, and hill climbing problems. With the new global platform, BRZ steering ratio, tight suspension; this car handles sooo good for a car that I only paid $22, 000 for! It’s just a shame Subaru went with an adequate, but at the end of the day, underpowered engine.
@vs85804 жыл бұрын
It's the CVT, the Forester and the Outback (2.5 liter) are also sluggish, the Crosstrek feels better then the Outback, bigger engine or turbo wont help much. Test drive a car with a normal 6 or 8 Speed auto transmission for proof. The CVT also surges, shudders and bucks (square tire/warped brake, choppy feel) in traffic, just a very poor design and not worth the extra 1-2 mpg's.

Awe, I came here hoping Subaru would blow me away with the crosstrek but sadly no 😔. We have a 2019 Honda CRV which has all the features you described and more; plus it’s only one step above the base model. Our Honda has heated side mirrors and heated seats as well as adaptive cruise control, Lane keep assist, collision prevention radar, keyless entry, push button start, economy mode(uses less gas) and brake hold(where you come to a stop and can lift foot off gas without the car moving). It also is less miles to the gallon and comes with a water cooled turbo. Oh plus it’s electronic E-brake. So to everyone reading, lesson for today, go buy a Honda cause you’re getting way more value.
@BachmanAutoGroupLouisville4 жыл бұрын
I am by no means a Honda expert but you left out a key difference here...The CRV and Crosstrek are in different pricing segments. The Honda CRV EX starts at a higher price than the top of the line Crosstrek Limited. So really you would need to compare a 2020 Forester Sport which will give you nearly the exact features including a 2.5L boxer engine. That would be a more accurate comparison! Thanks for checking out the video!!
