10:10 This is actually a nice feature in that if you have the privacy cover on and you are trying to put in a large box, you don't have to put down the box to open the trunk. Wave your arm in front of the Subaru logo and then use your arm to push down the tail end of the privacy cover. It will snap out of the way.

You should keep the cover in the horizontally, level position. Not meant to be driven open.

I just came from a 2005 Wrx to the 2020 SI coupe. Subarus are the car for the northeast. I still have my wrx and it rocks in the winter. I tested outbacks and loved it, especially 3.6, but price Point is high. When I have kids, the outback will be the car I drive

3.6 with CVT is very quick. I would say comparable to WRX and SI. Next race?

I didn't buy the XT because the Subaru engine will out last the Turbo. Also I get 35+ MPG on the highway (at 70 -75 mph) and average 27.5 overall. It actually has adequate power, even when merging if you really get on it. And my other car in a Dodge Charger with a Hemi. Besides the gas savings, I also saving on speeding tickets.

is that the Limited that you have ? the engine is the 2.5 adequate? Will it get the job done? I am in the process of getting one and the engine is the main issue before i pull the trigger - whether i should get the turbo or the base.

@@LightsAndBikes Actually I ended up getting the refreshed and with the new Eyesight system of the 2022 Forester Touring and yes with the 2.5 . I am glad I did I think the Forester suits me better than the Outback.

coming from an old lexus GX, the subi is definitely a tortoise. and the constant beeping from the lane departure warnings are driving me crazy. the car is okay, but i'm not loving it. the interior on the touring is very comfy though.

Are you SURE that your mom's car is a "Touring"? Tourings have silver roof rails and mirrors AND a brown leather interior. That looks more like a "Limited" to me. (I have a Touring XT - love my car)

Outbacks are the WORST for the head gaskets...trust me. Colorado state car right there. ;-) Ironically, I sold my 2012 Forester in order to buy my Civic. Smart move I think...I always have my truck for "winter" driving. :-) Dude. There's no way you're 300lbs. Unless you're like 5'3"? :-)
