damn that 228 was smoking even when you got the jump. pretty nice although everyone would probably rather have the 228 manual coupe with the rwd. the awd and 8sp auto def gave it the push here though.

I have a 500 abarth. Love it. Yeah its slower than some top end cars but the price point fits my lifestyle. With that said, my next will probably be a spider. I love small cruiser style cars. Would love a porche but kinda out of my budget lol. Anyways good video enjoyed it thanks mate!

Nice video but I don't think that 124 is really putting down 220 with how bad it did against a much heaver car with supposedly same power. I know the aero is better in the bmw but the 124 is also not a box. Cool video anyway and gotta love the look and sound of that 124!

It gets 220whp, but only in a narrow band, the Turbo is probably near the end of its efficiency curve. Tons of torque though.

As a 124 owner I do question it, I can get from 40 - 120 like it’s nothing. Not sure what happened here

I gotta say this was a lot closer than I expected. The manual gearbox and draw in power really deters the 124. It’s true purpose really shows on the airstrip lol Nice vid. Sorry for the short comment I’ve had to write this after eating while I was watching. Gotta head out now take care bro

I wonder how many gears the BMW has? The auto abarth has 6 gears if i'm not wrong. From the video, the Abarth seemed to be doing until it hit 80mph. it looked like the Abarth ran out of gear and got left behind by the BMW.

@Marc Shen The BMW has 8 speeds, and the ratios are relatively aggressive. The disadvantage with the auto Abarth is the longer gearing in which, you are correct, ran out of gear up top.

Sad reality even tuned Abarth with stuffed turbo not quicker than most of modern SUV's. Corners, fun to drive factor - yeah, amazing car. Straight line? Not so much..

this is only at highway speeds above 90mph which you should not be doing anyway. most roads in america are not straight and the fiat is plenty fast at 30mph races which is what most people will be doing. anyway, due to the pandemic I did not drive my fiat for like 9 months so I sold it but I did enjoy the car.

The 124 will kill the Beemer in the twisties...driving in a straight line isn't driving. I smoked a Cayenne on the back roads in my untuned 124.

The BMW won because the Abarth is not 220hp. If you got 220hp on a dynojet the reality vs. the BMW number is 200hp.

Where is he getting over 200 horsepower from? It has a l.4 litter 4 cylinder turbo engine of only 164 horsepower. Needs to do more research before putting things up.
