Great Adam and glad it helped. Sometimes you want to check out the parts of the bike in detail or use it as reference. Keep well and thanks for the comment.

I rode that exact bike when it was the demo bike at Streetbike. Did they inform you that the bike had been dropped by the first person who took it out on a demo ride? They replaced a few parts but also that’s why the pillion footpeg is still scuffed up. I bought my bike from Sutton’s in Tamworth in the end. I also swapped out my 2018 Street Triple for the GT Pro in red. Got mine early October. It’s very different to the Streety. It feels slower but it’s more about the feeling of speed than the actual reality. I miss not being over the front wheel and chucking the bike into the corners but you gain a lot of comfort and I got the bike for touring which was a killer on the Streety. Enjoy it.

I did give the bike a good look over and that was the only part I found to be scuffed up so not too much of a worry for me. They really did me a good deal so I am happy so far. I will check in with them if anything starts showing problems to get it sorted. But thanks for the heads up. Yes you are spot on with the ride the STR is a much more agile rocket where this is a more relaxed ride with a good amount of oomph. I just need to get out more to get a more riding time. For some reason I swap bikes in the winter and then have to enjoy the wet roads lol. Glad you liking yours and I am going to compare this one to my F850GS I had. Thank you for the comment.

Great to see you clearly enjoying the new bike, Andre. A perfect time of year to switch to an adventure bike with heated grips & seat… A shame you couldn’t keep the Street Triple too. They would make a perfect pair in the garage!

haha yes Stuart that would have been nice but my UK garage is super small and two bikes in there would not be great and the wife said NO. lol. Thanks and cannot wait to get out more or this bike and get to know it better. Thanks for the feedback.

So you don't regret your decision for the switch that you have done !! The downside between them is you gave up a little bit on power and but you'll take it back in comfort and besides nowadays you don't need very much power to have fun out in the mountains or canyons 90 hp is more than inough ! Cheers Man
@Andre-Mostert

This is so true, you do get less agility but you do gain allot of comfort. Its also what I want to use the bike for and I do like the comfort and the heated grips so far. Also now that its winter. It would be nice to have both but man I cannot be that gready and the wife said no lol. Thanks for the comment.

7:00. I live in WA state in the USA, and Triumph bikes are not very popular here. I see a ton of Harleys, and BMW's. I've never owned or ridden a Triumph bike, but from what I can tell, the fit and finish looks outstanding. Even the muffler looks like an extremely high quality piece. The seat, and the front headlights, look extremely high quality. Everything just looks high quality. The only thing is, I am not a fan of the "rougher" sounding "flat plane crank" engines that so many car and motorcycle manufacturers are doing right at the moment, for no other reason than it's the latest trend.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes its weird that they are not that well known as I would have thought. I was expecting that if there is a BMW shop a Triumph shop would be close by. They have also upped the quality on the bikes by allot to compete with the likes of BMW and Ducati and they do make really nice bikes. The range is also growing with something for everyone. I have always wanted a triple since the Speed triple way back with the round lights. This new 900cc engine is more twin sounding with a bit of triple spice. I am so far very happy with the buy but its still early days.

Great video Andre. I have been leaning towards the 850 which you seemed to like when you test rode it. Is there any particular reason that you went for the GT Pro over the 850?
@Andre-Mostert
@Andre-Mostert 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom and thanks for the comment. The only reason was that the dealership I went to first could not do a deal on the 850 and the Demo unit was not available yet. When I phoned Streetbike they told me they can sort me out with a deal and this one came out the same price as the other dealerships 850. So I took the deal. They had it in red and that is the colour I like. But really as I said the 850 Sport is a super awesome bike and with hand guards and heated grips there is not much in it for difference. The price of the 850 is super good. With all the bells I would only really use 10% of it. Its mostly set it once and forget. I only jump between the rain and road modes and that is it. Also just as a note the 850 does not have a centre stand if that matters to you. For me and how I park in the garage, the push leaver on the centre stand is on the wrong side, so I dont even use that lol. The side stand keeps the bike very upright and that is helpful in my case. Let me know if you have any more questions. Also most of the dealers are running low and some said they only expecting stock next year feb march.
@tommoore2572
@tommoore2572 2 жыл бұрын
@@Andre-Mostert Thanks for the quick reply Andre. It's nice to know you didn't change your opinion on the 850. Like you said, the 850 with a few accessories makes more sense than the GT or GT Pro for me. I might go for a used 900 if a good deal comes up between now and the spring.
@Andre-Mostert
@Andre-Mostert 2 жыл бұрын
That is spot on. I would phone up a few dealers and let them know what you are looking for and let them do a bit of the work to let you know when a demo bike in the right colour comes up. You might be able to get a deal. Bulldog has the Red 850 Sport that I rode and that one was close to being sold. Bike was in really good condition. Good luck and keep me posted.

# Nice video, is a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? this is better than KTM 890 or Yamaha tracer 9 GT ? I only drive on public roads/highways... it is wise to jump from naked bike to this touring/Adventure for daily use. Any way great video Be safe

Do you miss tight and sporty ride of street triple after moving over to Tiger ?
@Andre-Mostert
@Andre-Mostert Жыл бұрын
Good question but for me its a no. I loved the street triple but the riding I do and where I like to ride having more suspension and a more upright bike makes a big difference. I use the calimoto app and it takes me down the small little lanes where lying on your wrists is just so tiring. Having a more upright riding position helps so much. Hope this helps.

@@Andre-Mostert yes it does, thanks much! How about any vibes on Tiger?
@Andre-Mostert
@Andre-Mostert Жыл бұрын
Now allot of people say there is vides but I have now had the Street, Tiger 900 GT Pro and the Tiger 660 and they are all super smooth at highway speeds. 70-80mph. I am now on a Tenere 700 and man this is not as smooth as the Tigers. Even the Tiger 850 I test drove was super smooth. I was very happy with the whole tiger line up. Way more soul and fun to ride compared to the BMW900GS I had. They sound cool and looks good too. Still a big BMW fan but the bikes are just too heavy to get around in the traffic or in the small little roads I explore at the moment. I wish they take that Tiger 660 engine and drop that into a more offroad layout of a bike as the Tiger 660 is more like the BMW XR range. Sports touring style.
@galacticstar007
@galacticstar007 Жыл бұрын
@@Andre-Mostert oh yes, 660 based proper off road or GT bike would be so much fun and accessible. Thanks for clearing my doubts about vibes, though 900 is sold out everywhere here in India, next updated lot might come in early 2024 :( hope it's worth the wait and new street triple is so yummy :)

@@galacticstar007 The 850 might also be an option. I would have taken the Tiger 850 any day just because its got less frills and its a good price point. But they wanted to sell me the GT Pro for almost the same price as the Tiger 850... could not reject that. Good luck and I also want to go and check out these new 400cc bikes they just launched. Keep well.

haha indeed, its a good bike for the price. I had the 800 and the 850GS from BMW and the Triumph has so much sound and soul compared to the Rotax BMW engine. I am so keen to try out the smaller 600 Tiger Sport.

Electric bikes still use other sources of fuel to generate that power to recharge them, dont delude yourself thinking it's better for the environment. I've worked on wind turbines and solar, they require alot of materials and maintenance

@@Andre-Mostert I'm an EE ,ME and multiple controls platforms programer, with that said living costs alot and is not a zero sum event. To those who think so aren't being honest about living, yes we can minimize much of the older destructive practices but it still costs energy, even when you go for a stroll down your parks or go to a restaurant, it was energy expended to build those things and put food on the table. Enough barking, I'm holding out for the 1200
@Andre-Mostert
@Andre-Mostert 2 жыл бұрын
Nice one, the 1200 is nice but I have had my time moving about the big bikes. I come from the BMW side and pretty much had all the big boxer bikes. Started with the 1986 R80GS and ended with the 1250GS. Then I thought lets try the mid range bikes and been so far impressed. Yes if you have allot of big miles to cover and you want solid high speed cruising then the bigger engines work a treat. But for what I use the bike for the smaller engines are spot on.
