I had the exact same accord hybrid except mine had beige seats...I had to sell it because I got laid off the next day of purchase and I loved it so much. I had ordered so many accessories like trunk mat, brown leather seat covers (I hated these tho) and even a screen protector for the infotainment system. I listened to the Taylor Swift's All Too Well 10 minute version for the last time the night I sold my car and it just had 500 miles on it. Maybe one day...I'm hopeful.

The paddle shifters affect regen braking, not "gear shifting." Or even more accurately, regen coasting. They change how much of a slowing (and so regen) effect you get when you aren't pressing either the brake or accelerator pedal. And it doesn't have a CVT. It doesn't even have a transmission (which is why it can't simulate shifting gears). Honda calls it an eCVT, for "electronic CVT." But vCVT, for "virtual CVT" would be better. Except when highway cruising, the engine is not connected to the wheels. It drives a generator, and only an electric motor drives the wheels. The Accord Hybrid really is a true Electric Vehicle, just not a Battery EV.

@@lionintu There literally almost nothing to break. Three gear interfaces (crankshaft to generator, overdrive gear to countershaft, and motor to countershaft) and a wet multiplate clutch.

@@redcapote4760 I imagine there was a markup. Sometimes some cars have added features, so that can make a difference. This one is loaded with everything except vented seats, head’s up display, and rear heated seats. It was a little over $37k, but they also gave me $20k for my trade-in, so it’s not actually that bad for us, however, I was expecting closer to $22k-$23k for the trade-in.

@@codysmith9813 where did you guys get Accord Hybrid EX-L. The dealers I talked to barely sell any EX-Ls. They said no such model coming in and the markup + fees for Accord Hybrid Sport make it up to 38k in total, which is crazy.

You have to step up to the Touring trim level for the ventilated seats.

Does this hybrid have a USB port on the back of the rear view mirror? I’ve heard that manufacturers are starting to add these to assist drivers in easily adding a dash cam.

I want to know how to drive and maintain a hybrid. Every video rushes past the paddles, sport setting, EV mode, etc. I am a 76 year old woman and need to know what’s involved in driving a hybrid.

This guy obviously doesn't really know anything. I couldn't understand what he was saying. He spoke so fast and sounded like he had food in his mouth. As for you question, for almost everything, you willl operate it like you do a normal car. You do not have to plug the Accord in. The biggest difference is that you can set the paddles to more or less regenerative braking which in turn charges the battery.

@@sammyjammy6647 imo the redesign looks like a VW Jetta which is unfortunate as a LOT of cars are moving in that direction. My preference is for cars with a unique identity. I bought a 22 Hybrid Touring and think they nailed it in the last year model! Just my opinion.

not everyone here is a 20 something with perfect hearing. You need to slow down and pronounce your words better. Besides not knowing the paddles are for the amount of regenerating braking you want, I got tired of trying to deciper what you were saying. I don't know how many subscribers you want to eventually have but in broadcasting, the first thing they teach you is you are worthless unless people understand what you are saying. When I was young, I thought my eyesight and hearing would last forever. Guess what. They don't. Almost all baby boomers have hearing problems because we all were in the military because of the draft and surprisingly, they didn't issue hearing protection back then. i would have liked to watch your entire video but it got just too irritating,

I used to love the Accords. I had a 2004 coupe. It was super plush, comfortable and fast. Now they are uncomfortable and just ugly! I just hope Honda doesn’t drop the 3.5L in the next Odyssey!
