I got the Toyota Camry hybrid 6 weeks ago, three days after the purchase we went on a 1700 mile trip. Running 75 mph on cruise it got 47.8 mpg on 3 tanks of gas (13 gal tank) and arrived home with a third of a tank left. Since then everyday driving I have seen as much as 57.9 mpg. There’s plenty of room, the ride is good, and handling is great. It’s much improved over the last Toyota (1978 Corolla) I owned.

I have a 2020 Toyota Camry XLE. Non hybrid. It gets 47.4 mi to the gallon on a trip and 48.3 with the AC off. The only advantage the hybrid has is in town. Hybrids do not have much of an advantage on the road.. only in City driving !!

The Camry LE hybrid gets a few miles to the gallon better. It has a different battery and the car is lighter. It has a 13.2 gallon gas tank where the others have a 15.8 gas tank. It has less weight and smaller tires/wheel covers as well. Which hurts the way it looks aesthetically...

I have a 2017 accord hybrid. Some things to know about Honda hybrids: 1) they have a “sweet spot” of about 45-60 mph, at which fuel economy is fantastic. At interstate speeds, the hybrid system will at best get about 35-38 mpg. 2) every hybrid battery has a life span. For me, my hybrid battery started to deteriorate at about 85,000 miles / 3.5 years of mostly commuter, non-interstate driving. Since then, I’ve lost 20% fuel economy. I’ve taken it to the Honda dealer, and was told it’s a natural deterioration of the battery and as such it’s not covered by any warranty. The car is paid for and I’m still averaging about 40 mpg, but a 20% loss in economy hurts when gas prices are $4/gallon. I have 110,000 miles on it at 5 years so I’m not making a change, but I will buy a Toyota Hybrid next time.

Thanks for the video. I own 2022 Accord Hybrid Touring for about 6 months now, and I would say - I love this car. With just me and my wife in a car, computer showed 53mpg on our way from DC to Philadelphia. With 4 people in a car + luggage and AC - on, it gave 43mpg on a trip from NYC to DC. Rear passengers have plenty of room + heated rear seats. I vote for Honda.

I think if you go for any hybrid car Toyota is best bet. Toyota is much more experienced in making hybrid cars than any other company in the world.

In the USA Honda was first with hybrids hybrid coupe hybrid manual and highest mpg with the Honda Insight. Toyota has way more commitment and models though so more experience.

I got the Camry Hybrid about a year and a half ago and am loving it! The way gas prices have been going here in California, I definitely made the right decision to go hybrid at the right time. The Camry's comfort, performance, and ride are very solid. It has get-up-and-go comparable to the V-6 Solara it replaced.

Great review, very honest and not tilted in the least. I own a 2015 Lexus GS 350 AWD that is a fabulous drive. The new ES hybrid is attractive but has the same engine and transmission as the Camry, but Lexus does make the experience special, but you pay extra. All about choice.

It’s worth noting that the Accord is set for a redesign this year and the Camry is expected to get one in the next year or so, too. It’s definitely a tough decision between the Accord and Camry, I’m trying to wait for the redesign to help me make a decision. I would not consider the Sonata personally because the last few cars my family has purchased were Hyundais, and the amount of recalls our vehicles have been a part of was absolutely absurd. Definitely not the same level of quality and reliability you get from Honda and Toyota.

I am not gonna say anything g negative about Honda because I never used them. But I am using Toyota/Lexus hybrids for last 14 years. NEVER had any issues what so ever even with 200k-300k Miles on them.

We’ve owned both a Camry and an Accord. We noticed that the Accord had more squeaks and rattles than our Camry with the same amount of miles. We put 170K miles on our Accord and 229K miles on our Camry. Both cars were extremely reliable. We decided that we simply get more mileage on our Camry.

I have a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring on the highway driving 80mph is getting 35mpg, 70mph is getting 38mpg. city driving is getting 45-49mpg. if combined highway and city are getting 40-45mpg( Summer Time) Wintertime combined is 38mpg. The build quality is way better than Camry. And on Touring Model have Active suspension. That is one of kind for Camry and Sonata. Night road vision Accord is the Winner as well.

They're both great cars and it's refreshing to see that some automakers still make sedans. I would like to test drive them first before making up my mind, but from your review I would choose the Honda Accord , because it has a sspacious interior and ventilated seats. Southern California can get quite hot so the ventilated seats are needed here.

We chose the Camry Hybrid. The reason why we didn't pick the Accord is it is lower to the ground and more difficult to get in and out of than the Camry. We are in our mid 60s and keep our cars for at least years.

Our(Edmund's)2018 Honda Accord EX-L stickered for $30,865, including destination. Over the course of a year, we added 13,302 miles to our odometer. In this condition, the Edmunds TMV Calculator valued the Accord at $23,815 based on a private-party sale. That works out to 22.8% depreciation, which is slightly worse than the fleet average of 22% average. @@MsBdoll87 Make sure you not driving with that green leaf on. That's the eco mode. I usually drive regular or in sport when I want to pass people. The hybrid is pretty fast. I only use eco mode when im in traffic.

I have 22 Accord Hybrid Sport. I bought it brand new and have 9k miles on it. I get 49mpg city/ my wife can get 51! The things that should be know. It’s MPG shines significantly best in warmer climate, use Sport mode instead of economy mode for hill bound trips(less effort and quicker battery regeneration.) Based on research and owners manual you can extend the life of battery by avoiding hard stops and extreme acceleration. The Sport’s model low profile wheels and tires handle and look fantastic, but they don’t like snow. If you are use to driving a truck or SUV, be careful because this model is Low.. if I could do the purchase again I would have gotten the premium edition because I hate stick on blind spot mirrors and love heads up display for mph.. Otherwise, I love the car! The 22’ Accord Hybrid is comfy on long rides( drove 600 miles to the beach last week) and is an excellent gas saving commuter.

Camry is my choice. Camry has good traction in snowy conditions. I always use all season tyres. I’m currently driving my third Camry, good going currently at 250KM. I drove my first Camry 450KM. I’m waiting for the next Camry model to buy hybrid.

I went with the 2022 Toyota Camry LE Hybrid. I've owned it for about three months now and I really like it - but the Honda Accord is a fantastic vehicle as well. I've owned several Toyota's, including several older Camry's that I have helped other people buy and they have had fantastic luck with all of them. I tend to purchase vehicles for the long haul (10+ years) and I expect I'll get that plus a lot more out of this 2022. I still have a 1997 Toyota Corolla that is my GF's daily driver since gas has gone up so much!

The 20+ years of hybrid tech made the Camry a slam dunk choice. Honda once had the Insight, which was the rock star of hybrid at 100 mpg.

My 2019 Camry Hybrid LE getting 54.2 Mpg...I do like the styling of the Accord..Hyundai has a nice warranty...but I'll stick with Toyota

Nice video. A major factor in my decision to buy a Camry hybrid, however, was that the Camry’s mpg exceeds that of Accord by about 10 mpg.

The interesting question is, why are you comparing a Camry LE (52 mpg, $28,080, bottom trim without any factory-installed packages) to an Accord Touring (43 mpg, $35,990, top trim fully-equipped since Honda doesn't do factory packages)? A more equitable comparison is a Camry XLE (46 mpg, $32,970 top trim but not fully equipped since no packages) to an Accord EX-L (48 mpg, $34,040, mid-trim but still better equipped). The price and options are quite important; maybe more so than mpg. You may not even be ablke to get similar equipment. But please, try to compare fairly.

I would like to know what maintenance is going to look like for these cars at 100-150k miles, when things start to break or wear out. I own the 22 Camry 4 cyl AWD and it gets 35-40 on the highway with an 8 spd automatic non-CVT. I will never buy a CVT. I chose the gas version over hybrid simply because in my eyes the hybrid isn't proven past 150k miles when heavy duty maintenance kicks in.

I’m still trying to find a new or newer Accord to test drive, so I can make a decision whether to buy the Honda or go w/ the Toyota Camry. I’ve tested a ‘21 SE Hybrid, which was impressive. And very recently I rented a ‘21 XSE Camry which probably was the 2.5 4 cylinder. Also impressive. I got around 38 mpg w/ that one, so I was pleasantly surprised. I like the looks of both makes, but the Accord will have to prove to me it’s better, otherwise it’s the Camry for me.

Had the accord now have the Camry and the Camry is better all around, especially in ride quality and fuel mileage, as well the Camry has much better line of sight/viewing angles. IMO

the regular 4 cylinder Accord is best. I average 42mpg per tank. In longer drives at 50-60mph with 5 stops I can hit 50mpg. Honest truth. I'm not paying extra for a hybrid that likely won't last 200k miles.

Your 1.5L turbo motor with Direct Injection and a CVT transmission is far less likely than the Hybrid to last 200K miles. The Hybrid's e-CVT will absolutely outlast the turbo's conventional CVT, the Hybrid has no turbo, and no Direct Injection to gunk up the intake valves with carbon build-up.

@@mootsym Reducing isn't the same as eliminating, which only the Hybrid's port injection can do. Check your intake valves at, say, 60K miles. Top-tier gas or not, your intake valves are going to be gunked up, and it only gets worse from there. As for turbos not killing anything, you will not successfully argue that a 1.5L DI motor with a turbo will last as long as a naturally aspirated, port-injected 2.0L. It simply won't happen. Too much heat, too much carbon build-up, too much strain on the seals, gaskets, and other components. As for the CVT? Come on. You know better. Conventional CVTs are designed strictly for fuel mileage, not for longevity or performance. The e-CVT in the Hybrid is essentially the same as having no transmission, with no moving parts. Nothing to wear out over time due to friction/material stresses. The Hybrid variant will also cost its owner less in terms of brake-system maintenance, and other ancillary components. The bottom line is the Hybrid will last longer than the 1.5T while also providing higher performance, a quieter ride, and significantly superior fuel mileage. There are no two ways about it. A well-maintained, modern lithium-ion battery pack will easily last 200K or longer, and that's the only item to worry about with the Hybrid. Prices have come down so much on those battery replacements that it's scarcely a consideration any longer, especially in light of one's total cost savings over 200K miles compared to the 1.5T model. Lastly, there is zero chance you're averaging 42 mpg per tank with the 1.5T, not unless all you're ever doing is freeway driving. Yes, the 1.5T can approach the Hybrid's fuel mileage on the freeway, but it gets clobbered by the Hybrid in stop-and-go city driving. That's where the Hybrid makes the most sense, as an errand-runner, an Uber driver, a car for busy soccer moms, a daily commuter, etc.; i.e., not just freeway miles, but all types of driving combined.

Everything you say is absolutely correct. It’s disappointing that Honda is even putting the 1.5L engine in the new ‘23 CR-V non hybrid. Even more weight and stress for the engine and CVT. You can’t substitute displacement with forced induction and DI .. something has to give and WILL give. The days of seeing cars pass 300k miles and still run like tops is OVER with those new engines

Side note: Camry has a 9” screen with the JBL system, and here in Australia the 9” screen is standard in the top 3 grades - ascent sport, SX and SL (Only model with JBL), leaving only the entry level Ascent with a 7” screen - there is no 8”.

For road trips, I'll take my regular 2.5L 2019 Camry. It's range that I shoot for rather than gas mileage. Driving from I-5 (Bakersfield exit) to Gila Bend, AZ is 504 miles which consumed about 11.8 gals (out of 15.8) using cruise control outside of cities. That equated to 42.7 mpg. Using the full tank gave the non-hybrid Camry a range of 663 miles. If it wasn't for the heavy Los Angeles metro area traffic, the range would be even better.

Had such good luck with a Prius 250K miles and still going, so we chose the Camry, It gets such amazing MPG (usually 49 MPG) for the power and comfort.

@@cindywright14 A used Prius battery will cost about $1,700 - $3,600 [labor costs included]. A refurbished Prius battery will cost you about $1,600 - $5,000 inclusive of labor costs. new battery including labor cost $7-8k.

Honda actually was first with hybrids in the USA and has more experience in the USA than Toyota for hybrids.

If you want to keep a car for the Long haul do not buy a Kia or Hyundai😩usually when they get around 100k they have all kind of problems and the engine wears out faster internally as well especially the bearings.. that is just how they are.

I'm actually thinking of getting the EX-L over the Touring. While it's sad to lose features like the HUD or the ventilated seats not available, the higher MPG and 17-inch (quieter and less expensive) tires are just very hard to argue with. If I could get the EX-L with the HUD and seats, that would be my optimal configuration.

Coming from a 2020 CR-V touring, I’m wondering about winter performance and handling with the fwd Accord hybrid vs. An awd Camry XSE hybrid. AWD is a definite asset in Ontario. Any help with choosing would be much appreciated. Also being older, which of these two would be easier to get into and out of?

We(Edmund's) purchased the Camry for $26,968 and traded it in for $13,000, about 2.5 years later and with over 42K miles on the odometer. These miles were well above average and affected the Camry's trade-in value. That said, we could've easily gotten a few grand more on the private market if we would have sold it ourselves. Profit versus convenience is something owners have to decide for themselves. It ultimately equated to 51.8% depreciation. We compared and test drove a 2022 Camry Hybrid SE and a 2022 Hybrid Accord EX-L. We went into this with a bias for the toyota since we own a Toyata RAV 4 hybrid and love it and the Prius we had before. Going off of you tube videos, we liked the looks of the Camry more. But after going and seeing both vehicles in person and test driving them, the Honda won the competition hands down. We ended up buying the Accord. In person, the accord has a more spacious interior, doesn't seem cluttered like the Camry even thought the Camry was nice. The fit and finish seemed better and layout more higher end. The accord could pass for an Acura, but the Camry is not a Lexus. Although I like the suspension on the Campry SE (nice and firm, handles corners well), the Accord is in a different league with its independent suspension. The suspension in the accord seemed more robust and could handle bumps and holes better, and the steering felt better.

It is not a hard choice at all. The Honda Accord is a nice vehicle. I would not mind owning one. HOWEVER, Toyota has been doing the Hybrid a LOT longer. They build their own E-CVT's and they are fully reliable/durable. So I would choose the Camry. My best friend owns a 2007 Camry Hybrid and it is still running fine. The Hyundai Sonata you can KEEP. I would not trust a Korean vehicle if you paid me. Right now they and Kia have a 5.6 million vehicle RECALL because their engine catch fire. They put in more updated tech in them but so what. I rather have my Toyota with tried and true engineering (and reliable older tech). My three Toyota vehicles have proven to be reliable/durable. Our 07 Camry is still very fast. Near 6 seconds at 0-60. That is fast enough for any highway speeds I would need. We plan on keeping the 07 Camry for years and years to come.

I wouldn't say; "Toyota has been doing the Hybrid a LOT longer." 1997 vs 1999. The first hybrids available in North America were Hondas. Early Prius spanked early Civic hybrids in sales because they had better mpg and 30 more horsepower. Honda's record of reliability is not inferior to Toyota's, and you certainly needn't worry about the durability/reliability of the Honda's transmission; remember, it hasn't got one.

I have the Honda version, purchased in March. I was going to get the Camry but the salesman at the dealerships were being a bunch dicks. They will continues to lose customer's being a greedy. Gotten a lot of compliments on my car and starting to see more people with the same car which is saying alot in a major city like Chicago.

The actual explanation needs too much background for the average consumer, and both car companies and reviewers seem unwilling to give it. I don't blame them - many people, that I've tried to explain it to, refuse to accept it. They just want easy numbers to report. But, while it seems "obvious" that the electric motor in a BEV or HEV compares to the engine in a gas car, that is wrong. It compares to the transmission. An engine converts chemical energy in gasoline into the _mechanical_ power that is used by every part of the car. That includes not just propulsion, but also power steering and brakes, fans, A/C, pumps, and alternators. The portion that is used for propulsion has to go through the transmission, where there are losses. They are small, but not negligible. All of these factors reduce the power that ultimately gets used for propulsion, but none of them can be measured as a "property of the car." So we get told just the power that can be obtained from the gas, not what gets used for propulsion. In a battery electric vehicle, the electronics convert the chemical energy in lithium ions into the _electrical_ power that gets used. In this particular hybrid, the engine-driven generator can add to it. Then this electrical power is distributed to all those devices. The portion to be used for propulsion is sent to the motor. In designing their cars, Honda apparently estimates that maximum power that can be used for propulsion is 85% of the power that can be produced. In the 1.5L turbo, which has a 192 HP engine, this would mean that the CVT need a power rating of about 164 HP. That is a guess. But the process works the other way around in an EV (which an HEV is). The power production has to be high enough so that 85% of it matches the 181 HP motor. So the specs for electrical production say it has to be capable of at least 212 HP. That's why the HEV Accord and the PHEV Clarity - which have different engines and batteries - both claim a 212 HP production system. Both can probably produce more, but never will since the car can't use more.

What most reviews don't consider, is that the mpg differences are due almost entirely to the size of the wheels. Larger wheels require more energy to change speeds, and create more drag. Yet the reviewers only get to drive the Camry that gets less mpg than a mid-trim Accord, but always seem to quote the higher mpgs of the stripped-down Camry. Using US EPA (city/highway) estimates: Camry LE (16" wheels, narrower tires) 51/53 mpg Accord Base/EX-L (17" wheels) 48/47/mpg Camry SE/XSE/XLE (18" wheels) 44/47 mpg Accord Sport/Touring (19"Wheels) 44/41 mpg Looks aside, I've never seen a review address handling and ride differences that go with the mpg differences. I know you can "trade down" from 19" to 17" with the Accord, but I'm not sure with the Camry. But I personally consider the mpg differences minor compared to better power (Accord's MotorTrend 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds, Camry 7.4). room (passenger 106 ft^3 to 100 ft^3, cargo 17 to 15 ft^3, which is not "pretty comparable"), and handling in the Accord.

I have a 2019 Camry LE and 2022 SE with the tire sizes you cite. The LE consistently gets over 60, sometimes closer to 70 if hypermile conditions are good. The SE is brand new, getting mid 50’s, sometimes low 60’s, which will continue to improve with break-in. (this is my fifth hybrid). The big difference between these cars is the ride. The SE is much flatter, stiffer, and composed. Rolling resistance is the reason for the difference.

@@oledog8391 Rolling resistance is essentially the same. It difference is a larger moment of inertia, and increased aerodynamic drag, in the 18s as opposed to the 16s. And if you are willing to use dangerous, and irritating, hypermilimg techniques, tha Hondas get similar improvements over EPA estimates.

@@jeffjo8732 The tire patch for the 18” is much wider, hence more resistance. The most effective hypermiling techniques aren’t dangerous. Taking foot of the gas and coasting to a red light instead of accelerating into it. Steady acceleration to speed and going the speed limit. Give yourself maneuvering room to avoid unnecessary braking and acceleration. Yes, Pulse and glide is is dangerous in any kind of traffic. POF (piss-off-factor) is high using that

Weird, is the Accord you are showing with the light colored seats the Touring Hybrid? Mine does not have a shifter at all, its all push button for parking, reverse, and drive? Overall, great review! I am extremely happy with my Accord Hybrid Touring 2022, you were dead on with all the details :)

If you have to chose between Accord and a Camry, the 50mpg for Camry is the winner for me. I test drove both cars and much prefer driving position in a Camry. Accord seems too low to the ground. However, interior layout is much better in an Accord.

My 2018 Accord 1.5T just had a fuel injector fail at 58k error code P0172 (posted on my channel). It's a good looking car but once the warranty expires you're on your own and you have no idea how expensive modern Honda engines are to fix. Oil changed at 80%, Shell regular used 80% of the time, always did warm up the car in the winter. Dealer so out of touch they recommended brake fluid replacement at 30k. I've never seen this part fail in ANY of my past cars. When asked why fuel injectors failed so early they said they see them all the time and $1600-$2500 would fix my out of warranty problem and warranty is only for 12k/12mos! Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice...

I would have expected better MPG from the Honda. My 2013 Accord Sport gets 34.5 mph at 72 mph on cruise, even after 144k miles. I don't think I could justify a hybrid that only gets 4-5 mpg better on the highway (which is over 95% of my driving).

No point getting a hybrid if most of your driving is highway. I get about 36 mpg doing 80 on the freeway, but I often get mileage around 60mpg when slow rolling around town.

Never drove the hybrid of either but I did drive the Camry 2021/22 SE and XSE models..the 2021 Honda Accord sport..the Camry fuel efficiency is wonderful..I drove like 10 plus hours during all 3 weekend days and that shit didn't go too far from F.

I have a 2019 Camry LE hybrid. I can easily get 55 mpg without trying. Paying attention to proper hypermiling techniques can get 65 mpg. Adding an SE hybrid to the stable next week. It won’t get as good mileage as LE, but a sportier ride.

@@cindywright14 New or used? 2022 Toyota hybrid battery warranty is 10/150k. New York Prius taxis go 250k and more without a battery change. The trick is “use it”. Don’t let the car sit for months. Also, keep the battery fan filter clean. Toyota hybrids are some of the most reliable cars made. Buy new, maintain it, and use it, you’ll be very happy. Used can present problems if the battery fan/filter is dirty. You then have a time-bomb on your hands - run!

When quoting MPG, you didn't specify the model. Toyota Camry LE Hybrid gets the 50 MPG while the other models like SE gets about 40 MPG.

Just less than 1 year I drove toyota camry hybrid 2021 about 80k miles With out any kind of break down. I drive for living for the last 6 years. No car will drive you like that.

My wife has a 2018 Camry hybrid. I just purchased a 2022 Accord Sport Hybrid that was on the lot when I took my 2014 Civic Touring in for service. I sold my Tundra TRD Pro and Highlander at the top of the marker for well over sticker price and purchased the Civic in show room condition with only 14K miles. These have proven to be great moves in this unstable economy. I had $30K to put down on a high-end Kubota tractor with multiple attachments. I own one half acre in town, but tractors seem to be a better risk than cash. I did take advantage of great credit scores and financed for 2.19%, 3.24%, 3.26% and Honda got me for 6.5% which I'll pay off quickly. I worked intelligence for Army 2005, realized how fragile the world is and have been preparing since. I try to pass my concerns on as much as possible in hopes others can benefit.

@@westars0823 The Accord gets much less MPG than the Camery due to the different use of battery. The Camery is battery rechargeable by engine while the Accord is gas using the battery for taking off where power demand is greatest. Accord battery is smaller so should be less expensive. With these batteries temperature is an issue. Our Camery is garaged while the Accord is in carport. Both seem to be great investments but are engineered differently.

I used a curve fit to the four data points to judge how far each was from the common trend [Edit: I added results from Fuelly.com, but I don't track the 19" Accords) : Camry 16", EPA 52 mpg (Curve Fit 51.6 mpg, Fuelly 44.5 mpg) Accord 17", EPA 48 mpg (Curve Fit 48.7 mpg, Fuelly 42.6 mpg) Camry 18", EPA 46 mpg (Curve Fit 45.8 mpg, Fuelly, 41.7 mpg) Accord 19", EPA 43 mpg (Curve Fit 42.9 mpg) The larger tires add significant air drag, and are harder to change speeds. The 16" tires are also narrower, skewing the trend a little toward the high end. The 2018 Camry uses either a 1.0 kWh lithium battery (LE), or a 1.6 kWh nickel battery (all other trims). The Accord uses a 1.3 kWh lithium one. Hard to say which is "biggest" since the tech is different. But when it is the same, the Accord's is bigger. And it needs it, since the Accord actually does far more "battery recharging by engine." The Camry is essentially a gas car that uses its power-split transmission as a CVT. One MG acts as a generator, to power the other as a motor. The balance of speeds between them regulates the engine's rpm. The Accord is primarily a serial hybrid. That means a "Generator Electric Vehicle" as opposed to a "Battery Electric Vehicle." Except when cruising on the highway, the engine drives a generator only. It operates at exactly 34 HP (unless high power is needed), and charges the battery with the excess power (cruising needs 5 to 20 HP, depending on speed). It increases SoC by about 25% to 30% of its ranges, then drops into EV Drive. It can spend as much as 50% of the time in EV Drive because of this. (Well, I should point out that if you only drive in SPORT mode, it will use the battery less because it is trying to keep SoC above 70% so you have power available.) An lastly, low speeds need less power, not more. Roughly speaking, ACCELERATION=POWER/SPEED. These cars "start off" on electricity because (A) they have no clutch or torque converter, (B) a gas engine is horribly inefficient at the low powers needed at low speeds, and (C) The Accord can't use the engine for direct propulsion at low speeds.

What I meant was that, other than the drive train and the wheels, the two cars are very similar. So if you eliminate the dependence of wheel size by using a curve fit of the form MPG = A-B*WHEELSIZE, using all four samples. what is left is the effect of the drive train. There is far too little data for any clear conclusion, but the Camry does get a little better mpg. But it is less than 1 mpg, closer to 0.5 mpg.

If in Canada where the city roads and highways are a disaster, especially in Manitoba, you will want the Camry to handle the craters (formerly known as potholes) and the speed bumps on the highways since they don't know how to make a highway in MB. The Accord is nimble and stiff but you will lose a tooth filling somewhere between November to April....

But which trim will you get? Only the base model of the Camry really has great mileage. All the others have about normal mpg. The base model of the Accord too gets the best mpg for the Honda trims.

I would say yes. As it is more stylish and gives about same mpg. But if you are buying this car to really save on gas, then the Camry LE is better as it gives you better mpg on the freeway if you are driving 70mph to 75mph.

I own a Camry LE hybrid. Excellent car but a bit bland and boring. I sometimes wish I should have picked the Accord hybrid. But then further down the street there is this Accord owner who thinks he should have picked the Camry. And so the circle is complete...

I have the camry and I hate it. My fords were all better quality. There are so many rattles with the camry.

I went to honda dealer ship to buy honda accord sport hybrid and bought 2022 Camry XLE Hybrid )) with 15K miles pre owned it was same price there was no price difference I can choose honda accord sport hybrid with 0 miles but after test drive both Camry is winner 🥇 so don’t buy before test drive both 😉

i had watched a video that stated unless you drive a hybrid on a regular bases don't buy one. it stated that unless the battery has a certain amount of cycles a day it fails.

Probably not, unless they change the configuration of where the battery is located, and that would require a fairly substantial re-engineering of the car. That was one of the major factors why I ultimately chose the Camry Hybrid over the Honda Accord Hybrid (and a couple other potential options). I would prefer a "real" spare tire, but hardly anyone offers those anymore, so at least a "temporary spare" is an absolute must in my opinion. The "tire repair kit" is a bad joke.

with the lack of numbers where it counts and vague opinions that could be done through a short test drive this seems like a surface level evaluation/comparison at best. 0-60, basic warranty time/distance, going over interior materials fit/finish.

Accord is amazing car when you drive it, but the display is very bad, like first version of sumsong tablet, it could be the rear camera, but that shame on Honda.
