Really like what Kia put together here. The styling direction of Kia first with the K5 and now this is really refreshing and completely unique. Some of the minor annoyances that I have(like why not go full LED across the board, especially given the attractive headlamp arrangement), fake leather on this trim(yes it looks good, but will not wear like real leather and guaranteed to crack), and other minor nibbles are easy to forgive when factoring in the styling and value. We did test out an SX Prestige and it was really nice, but went with the loaded Pacifica S AWD in Destroyer Grey instead due to the huge refinement improvements in the 2021 and the storage solutions Chrysler provides.

No moonroof on the EX & SX is a big miss. Same for not having a hybrid powertrain, but it's easy to rectify in the near future.

Would not be surprised if Kia produces for the first all-electric minivan. The Hyundai/Kia hybrids aren't the best in their cars nor terribly fuel efficient for hybrids, but I do believe H/K is in an all out war for top offerings.

If they REALLY wanted us to call it an MPV instead of a minivan, they would have made it with AWD. I love the concept and I think MPV fits perfectly, but they really tripped and fell on their face right in front of the finish line by not making AWD an option. I'm holding out til next year. Hoping they fix that key oversight. Toyota and Chrysler now have AWD with their minivans, time for Kia to step up.

Looks like a really comfortable road trip machine. I like the way they integrated the cell phone holders throughout with the cup holders. That brightwork piece outside gives it a classy look. Great vid guys!

Bought one before they raise the prices like the telluride. There are crazy competiton for these vehicles. Toyota owner here. I tested the highlander and sienna and hands the carnival wins. Interior is beautiful. 12 inch display is high resolution and crisp and beautiful back up camera. The toyota back up camera on Sienna was low resolution, small and grainy wow I was shocked how old it looked. The Carnival drived like an suv with ample power and beautiful design... The sienna was under powered and the cvt was jerky ans rough... Most of all the carnival space was unbeatable and looks beautiful. I went to buy a sienna but couldn't stop thinking about the carnival test drive and found a dealer that didnt market it up as yet so I was lucky to get it. You better grab one fast before prices go up!

@@jojohentr The Carnival is car that created a new category that put mini van doors on a telluride. It rides better than a sienna, feels luxurious and it's more spacious than a sienna... Reliability wise the Koreans have used the high quality components and have backed up with a 10 year 100k milage warranty... I feel like toyota has dropped the ball and is leaning to hard on their reputation by pushing old interiors and entertainment systems that are atleast 10 years back and embrassing.

I loved the references to storing coupons and flyers. That's important to me too. 😊 I had no idea there was no sunroof on any trim except the SX Prestige. That's crazy. It's annoying me that Kia doesn't give you the option of getting all the extra features in the SX Prestige trim without the lounge seats (i.e. 8 passenger configuration). Either they should have made a package for the SX trim with all the SX Prestige features (except the lounge seats) or made the lounge seats an option in the SX Prestige trim. Lastly, how is homelink in the rear view mirror only available on the SX Prestige trim? Really Kia?!

Kia should re-think the seating option for the top trim for the 2023 model year. The non-removable VIP lounge seats should be stand-alone option, there should be removable and configurable 7 or 8 regular seats as standard including the top trim. This is a family people and cargo mover not a chauffeur-driven business vehicle. What were the design engineers thinking????

We just traded our 2017 Pacifica Limited in on a 2021 Pacifica S AWD after testing the Carnival. It was a tough choice between the SX and Pacifica S, but the storage solutions, ride/handling of the Pacifica, and infotainment on the Pacifica won out. Chrysler really refined the Pacifica, and the Carnival certainly won't disappoint either!

Ughhhh. Bad enough you can't get AWD but NOW you can't get a sunroof with the SX?!!! The SX prestige is out for me as I need to remove the 2nd row seats. What an absolute bummer. Hopefully they add AWD next year and either make the SXP with removable 2nd row or put a Sunroof on the SX trim. Pathetic that the 2nd to best level trim doesn't have a sunroof.

Why LED lights are not standard across the board in 2021 I don’t understand. Not only do they look a thousand times better, they’re also increase visibility. With the LED technology we have available, it’s not that much more expensive to add it in.

You dont need a sun roof its big inside and alot light. I thought I would need a sun roof too but I test drive it with and without, it didn't really make a difference.

@@persaud101 sunroof still give a different experience. Having a sun come from upper side give you a more open space feel. Also, you can drive up to 45 mph with an open sunroof and it won't mess your hair or cause a lot of wind noise.

@@persaud101 I'm driving a minivan (Honda Odyssey) so I know how it feels. That's my personal taste, I prefer to have a sunroof. I also understand it changes the structure. But if it's not safe, then why they put it on the higher trim SX prestige? I don't need a panoramic sunroof, just a normal one. They can offer it as an option . They also dont offer a real leather for SX and below. I absolutely love the design, but leather & sunroof are something they can do it better.

Sweet ride but I never understood the passenger speak because unlike these new generation of people my kids or anyone is going to hear me even in the third row. So I really don’t care about that but everything else it good.
