It's also in my '17 Civic, but the newer generation of Civic lost it. I set mine to turn on manually using the button on the end of the stalk (if it turns on with the turn signal, it'll take over the infotainment screen, which is a PITA if I'm also using navigation) and I know I'll miss it if I get a car without it.

Or drive properly and shoulder check. Safety features that make bad drivers worse should not be industry standard. Honda had this on their cars and decided not to continue with the feature.
@LJ-wo1wf

@@marclangman4836 The camera does what a shoulder check can’t do - monitor the lane from a viewpoint at the very edge of my car, giving me a better view for as long as I keep it on without requiring me to twist my head back. For example, if my lane is stopped, I can keep my eye on the right hand lane and check for a big enough gap more easily; or check for traffic during a freeway interchange where I need to merge right; etc. I’ve been driving a long time - I set my side mirrors as side mirrors, not duplicate rear mirrors, and do my shoulder checks - and the mirror-mounted camera has no downsides I can think of.

I have every generation of Sorento's at home! They're great vehicles, quite reliable and offers a lot for the price. I put them all to the test, doing high speed gravel road sessions, and snow roads in winter. They never let me down, always starting at -40 Celsius without an engine block heater. Yes, they might break more overtime (after 5+ years) than your typical Rav-4 or CR-V, but they have strong qualities like very good road manners, comfort, style and space. My favorite one is my first gen 2004 sorento with the manual transmission, V6 and body on frame, it just feels like a truck.

Me and my partner liked this when it came out and at the time we were looking to get into an SUV since we have kids and needed more space and have always had a sedan and she’s not into cars really or care much for them so when she actually wanted this we went to take a look at it and bought one. We got this spec the SX PRESTIGE XLINE because we planed on traveling a bit with it and it also has everything and price was in our range and we love it. It fits our family and can put some seats down when in need of more space. I also like that it looks really nice and sporty in my opinion for what it is and I like the way it drives for the most part. Also love the big pano roof and I’m not that tall but the 3rd row can actually fit someone about 5’9 for a short drive and they would be ok. I would really recommend this for a family of 4-5. Y’all would fit great and if you need more space you can put a seat down and fit everything you need. Y people and you might want to go bigger since you would not have much trunk space. That’s really the only thing I hate that trunk space is small but then telluride would be better and the good thing price wise it’s not much more. Also tech is pretty good you got great cameras and digital gauge cluster which is nice. We really love our Sorento.

KIA isn’t putting the best tires to manage the power of their vehicles. I learned this since my first Optima Hybrid in 2012, once I changed the tires to something with better grip, that issue with the TCS system, went away. They need to tune the engines to do better, economy wise without needing less grippy tires.

Both great cars but because of budget, went with the Sorento. Its mainly the wifes car but since gas has been getting expensive, ive actually been driving it to work (travel for work) while the wife drives the Jeep keeping the miles low while we wait on the replacement civic. If you hammer the gas, this thing can suck the gas but ive been driving it with a feather foot and my most recent 250mi trip (mostly highway) clocked in at 34 mpg!! I found the sweet spot for these is around 65mph as going up from there seems to really cut into fuel mileage.

My wife and I have owned two Sorentos over the last decade--a 2012 version and currently a 2018 model. It's my wife's daily driver and the long distance road tripper for our family (2 adults, a teenage daughter, and a big dog.) Each of the Sorentos we've owned has been a fully loaded top trim model. Each has given us excellent service and my wife loves our current 2018 model. Unfortunately, I have to say I wouldn't purchase a 2022 Sorento. The problem is that the only option for a mid or upper trim 2022 model Sorento is to opt for captain chairs in the second row. The only way to get a bench seat in the second row is to get the lowest trim model equipped with a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine. Although we're a small family, the second row bench is essential for us. Our dog won't fit in a captain chair so even with three humans and "Rover" we'd have to deploy the third row or take up at least half of the cargo space behind the second row for the dog. In short, the Sorento with second row captain chairs is a four passenger vehicle. And there are better choices including its cousin the Hyundai Santa Fe.

We’ve had this car for almost a year. And it’s averaged less than 17mpg. To be fair we live in Maui so there aren’t freeways or interstates. So it’s all “city” miles. It’s very comfortable and the safety features are awesome. The stereo and tech are very impressive for the price point. It’s also very peppy for a 4cyl but I feel like the 4 cyl is working really hard to push a heavy suv around with that much pep so I’m worried about long term reliability. And like any DIT motor, I’m worried about carbon buildup. Also,the black trim around the windows has faded in less than a year.

I wonder why Hyundai/Kia won't integrate some type of VVT. My wife's 2021 Tucson gets significantly less gas mileage than my 2020 gas only RAV4 despite the Tucson being smaller and lighter and the RAV4's engine is slightly larger with more HP. 2.5L versus the Tucson's 2.4L, both naturally aspirated. The only difference I can think of is the RAV4 has VVT-i and the Tucson has no type of variable valve timing at all. Is Hyundai/Kia just not there yet with the technology enough to make it reliable or something? It's not like VVT of any sort is a new thing.

I’ve seen a couple of these on the road, they look awesome, I tried to order a 2022 Kia K5 GT, they said I could place an order and it might take six months, but there is no guarantee. Then a week later they called me and they said that they were prioritizing the 2.5 turbo engines for the SUVs so there was no way I could get one. Ended up getting a 2022 228I Gran coupe Xdrive and I love it, I’m returning mid 20s so that’s not terrible for a large SUV like that. People love to hate on the two series gran coupe but it is a fantastic car, sure I could’ve gotten a three series which I was actually coming from a G20, but my car is much more comfortable, comes with a panoramic roof, quieter, better ride, just as quick as a 330 I👌💯

that car is overpriced to hell, don't even get heated seats and many other basic features(unless you shell out ludicrous amount of money, vw and hyundai offer them standard), interior is slightly outdated, the car is substantially slower, it's a 220 hp 4 popper, seriously? Peoeple and reviewers alike hate on it because it gets clapped by the competition, do you realize you're at Genesis g70 money? A g70(rwd platform, actual sports sedan, not fwd based).. holy balls

@@roboticvenom1935 yes it’s true the Germans like to nickel and dime for everything, and in The 228i X drive does 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds. That’s faster than a GLI, GTI, The genesis G70 is beautiful, but the 2.0 T gets horrible gas mileage, 0-60 in 6.4… The Genesis 3.3t is bad ass but the lease rates are very high. My car was 42k MSRP, that includes heated seats, heated steering wheel, stop and go cruise control, self parking, embedded dash cam, Lane keep assist and centering, Blindspot monitoring, Harmon Kardon sound system, BMW digital key, wireless charging, Free maintenance 4/50,000 miles. Sweet Ambient lighting, Plus I got it under MSRP, BMW loyalty discount etc. I was trading in my 330 I so I used the 4k in positive equity down, and I am paying $420 a month. Plus with the DINANTronic sport module I am pushing 300 hp. Also with coding I have the traction split 50-50, so not FWD biased. Have you even driven one? Honestly though if I didn’t get such a good deal, nor was I restricted to sell out my lease like all the manufacturers did, and wasn’t able to get BMW loyalty rates I probably would’ve gotten a CLA250… The interior is not outdated in the least, it looks almost identical to the 3 series, 4 series etc. digital cockpit professional is standard so I don’t know where you’re coming from with that🤔 Car and Driver “Yet, the acceleration of the 228i is virtually identical to that of the 330i xDrive that we tested last year. Only 5.1 seconds is needed to hit 60 mph, and the car covers the quarter-mile in 13.8 seconds at 99 mph” 2019 330i XDrive Car and Driver “The xDrive system does provide excellent traction under acceleration and ensures easy and repeatable 5.2-second runs to 60 mph. The quarter-mile kept coming up in 13.9 seconds at 100 mph”

@roboticvenom1935 2 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasbabeaux2052 A CLA250, lmfao joking. the 6.4 time is the 2019 model, and you're quoting the fastest time for the 228i xdrive (with m sport package) from C/D(C/D gets the fastest times of all magazines). Motortrend tested the 2022 genesis g70(not sure why ya didn't use this one), and it did a 6.2s 0-60, their 228i xdrive did 6.0 second 0-60, same magazine, much more accurate. And quarter miles times are more consistent as well. The 15 speaker Lexicon absolutely shits on that harmon kardon sound system(BMW is not known for great sound systems, the brands that are are Mercedes, genesis acura(their optional els systems), and Lexus. But the audioreviewer ranks lexicon way above basic harmon kardon. And the overall featureset and especially interior to the g70 prestige is easily above the 228i premium 2. stop and go/adaptive cruise control is basic and offered in g70 as well. Mentioning lane keep assist is hilarious, standard on 20k nissans, it's only worth mentioning on bmw's because of their poor featureset that doesn't touch genesis's class leading safety features(besides volvo). And after all this.. you're LEASING, amazing

@@roboticvenom1935 haha, I never said the Genesis was a bad car, it’s just slower in 2.0 T guise than the 228i X drive. Plus the aftermarket performance tuning and community is not nearly as robust in a Genesis. But of course the Genesis is a good deal, and it comes with standard driving assist equipment, but it is not a BMW, a Mercedes, or even a Lexus. It does not have the brand recognition as of yet, even though they are working towards it. But ultimately you said that the 228i is overpriced, which is incorrect especially compared to other German cars, it doesn’t compete with the Genesis, a G70 is attempting to compete with the 3 series. My buddy has a G 70 2.0t Prestige, Using my Vbox the quickest he got was 6.1 seconds, 5.0 seconds in my car. Granted he also had Michelin pilots 4s tires, which I guarantee if my car had I would’ve gotten quicker times. He gets 18 miles per gallon, 19 miles per gallon on a good day. That 2.0 T gets terrible gas mileage. And yeah leasing cars is ideal because I beat the hell out of them, I like to change cars fairly often, I do 24 month leases, And every two years I get something new. Currently have a 2020 Model 3 performance as well…
