The Mazda CX-5 gets a massive update and revisions for 2022, including new models, new specs, trim levels and colour. This SUV remains as practical and logical as ever with decent value for money. However, Mazda's core value of making the driving experience dynamic, remains intact as I find out on some very challenging Scottish Highlands roads. You mention at the start of the video that the 10.25" is touch screen...just to advise it IS NOT A TOUCH SCREEN! You use the rotary dial on the centre console

I really like this 2022 Mazda CX5. Very nice sound of the engine of the 165 hp and great handling in corners. Beautiful interiors too and great heads up display Excellent driving Shahzad 😃👍. Great review, have a great weekend 😃☀️

I think that Mazda decided to avoid touch screens due to many people saying they hate touchscreens, I have a touch screen in my golf and it’s so distracting, how is it any different to using a phone? The idea to have an idrive type of function is a great idea, once you get used to using it you won’t ever need to take your eyes off the road. Mazdas are amazingly well built and super reliable.

Ive had this model for a week only but very impressed with the drive !! The infotainment system works great , it seems to have a decent sat nav plus the heads up display is fantastic 👍

I enjoyed your review and seeing how well it performed in those conditions, rather than the usual A type roads. I have the GT Sport 2.5 on order, roll on the end of June when it should be ready to pick up.

Did you notice any improvements in the overall ride and suspension from previous CX5 models? I have a CX5 2.5 auto on order and the dealer has assured me that the ride has improved from the 2019 model.

Thanks for your comment. I haven't driven the previous version, but on the basis of driving this so hard, in such terrible conditions, on such demanding (twisting and undulating) roads, I'd say the set-up is just about one of the best compromises out there right now.

Mazda cx5 for 2022 does not have wireless Apple CarPlay. You have to plug your lightning cable to car USB causing wear to your plug on your phone. Ever time you get into your car you have to plug in. So much for the advantage of having wireless charging. You still have to plug in. 2021 had wireless CarPlay but they had problems do they removed it in 2022. Instead of fixing the problem they went backwards and removed. Come on Mazda get with technology. This is disappointing. Please come up with a fix and do an update to the 2022’s so there is wireless CarPlay.

Mazda have shot themselves in the foot over this car for me. My current Mazda has stone leather upholstery. On the new CX5 this isn't an option on the all wheel drive auto box spec. I really wanted that colour and not the brown they are offering as the only option so it's a deal breaker for me. Sorry Mazda but nope...Its looking like I'm off to Mercedes for my next car.
