Got my 2022 Rogue SV with Premium package and averaged 33 mpg on recent trip which was mostly highway. Yes, the 3 cylinder performance is more than I expected and all the one truly needs around town too. Less than 1,500 miles so far but am equally pleased as others have reported.

Going to try for a '23 SV Premium because it has heated seats (and steering wheel). I drove one recently, and it drives just fine for my liking. People complain about Nissan's CVTs, but if you actually take care of it (i.e., change the transmission fluid when they recommend it, and don't drive it super aggressively like a lot of people tend to do), you'll get some good life out of it in the long run, and this goes for any CVT on the market.

@@OriginalYTBR yup we actually looked into a used Rogue (2018+), and found pretty much all positive reviews, very minimal reliability complaints from real consumer reviews even back to 2014 (the first year of the past gen). Ultimately we decided to lease a new Tuscon for essentially the same price. But from literally everything I saw Nissan’s CVT’s are generally reliable at least in the Rogue. And believe me, I looked…I’m as much of a CVT skeptic as anyone…

"Nissan’s cvt is fairly reliable" said no sane person ever, lol! if anyone had a bad reputation for the reliability of their CVTs, its Nissan. I can't think of anyone in the industry with a worse rep. Toyota's CVT would be best, particularly their planetary gearset one they use on hybrids.

Suggestion: Rather than just repeating that its more "punchy" several times I would recommend elaborating in other ways, like test highway pull, 0-60mph, and if possible see what the fuel economy is because tiny turbo engines tend to do great on the highway but really poorly around town compared to their EPA rating if you actually give it the beans since real driving tends to use boost much more than the EPA cycle.

Good review. We recently test drove a couple of these and were very impressed with the ride comfort, seat comfort, engine noise and the response and power with the new 2022 engine. We will be purchasing a new car in the next 4-5 months or so, and this car is in the top 4 choices so far. I am somewhat disappointed with this video as the title seems to suggest it was going to go over the new engine in detail and address any possible short coming of it. There are other of "reviews" of people saying to be careful of the new engine as there may be problems down the line with it, so I want to get more facts about it before possibly buying this car. There are also lots of other videos showing problems with the 2021 models, which include issues with the infotainment system, remote start, dual-zone climate controls and some of the fit and finish of this car. Would be nice to know if Nissan has fixed these issues with the 2022 models.

Nissan is always problematic, the reason why their reliability is at the bottom. Nissan feels great and seems to last forever only for the first 6 years or about 70K miles or so. Most of the positive comments on Nissan car reviews are from those who have owned it for less than a few years.

I daily drive a 2007 nissan sentra with about 190,000 miles on it . I bought it used one owner with 20k miles . Have not had any major issues , mostly just normal wear and tear replacements such as brakes, tires, suspension (though that was more an upgrade and not a necessity due to anything wrong) . It's pretty much been a budget Toyota as far as reliability goes. To be fair, I don't try to drive it like a civic type r and stay on top of maintenance (self oil changes w amsoil , filters, tires , etc.). Still can get down the road and engine still strong . Mostly interstate miles but plenty of city driving . Plus has seen duty in all weather conditions from deserts to snow storms without any real issues (good set of tires and it pulls through most snow situations). Was honestly looking at another nissan because it's been so reliable. Though like most others on this comment thread , I wonder about a turbo 3 cylinder in a rogue for Long Term reliability. Though that engine would be great in a sentra!

@@STORMZ8 Time will tell on that. People have been experiencing strange whirring sounds and it's NOT coming from any turbo spool. I also read changing your own engine oil on this new model is next too impossible due to how small it is and where it's situated. I would DEFINITELY go with the 2.5 4cyl that's tried and true. They just put too much HP & Torque on such a small engine. Problems are bound too come up. They should have put those extra numbers on the 4cyl engine.
