I tried a buddy’s who has one and it doesn’t feel like premium like a Bushnell or Cobalt. The optics aren’t all that great either. But for the price, it’s not bad and you get the detachable GPS as well. The golf tracking is nice but it does have to be tapped for every shot.

Cool range finder! I like the separate gps devise and the simplicity of tracking your shots. Great review Gabe!

Thanks so much for this excellent review, Gabe! I ordered mine from Play Better over the weekend and it should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out. I've been using GolfPad, but will not need to re-up my subscription now that I'll have the ShotScope. More later... once I've had an opportunity to try this out on the course. Thanks again Gabe... keep the great reviews and helpful videos!

Great review/video. shot scope seems to be a better platform compared to Arcoss which I had from 2017 to early last year. I found Arcoss to be too cumbersome and the sensors are too bulky and throw off the swing-weights by up to 2 points. Sold all my sensors and the link on eBay last year and bought a slightly used Bushnell Hybrid Laser/GPS which has been great. I get 2 full rounds off the charge for the GPS portion and the Laser last all year with a replaceable battery If I go ShotScope I’m goin to go V3 with the watch. I can’t see tapping my clubs on every shot, another cumbersome method and I’m sure I’ll forget to tap a few shots per round. And that’s a no bueno!

Glad I found your channel. Just started playing in the Tampa area so perfect relatable information. I'm awash with choices and appreciate your insights. My pro is a big fan of range finders hence my search for current products. I was all set on the Bushnell and then you publish this... the GPS looks very cool. On a side note I was thinking where one can not attach the tag to a particular club one could keep that tag in a pocket. There doesn't seem to be any reason it has to be attached to a club, does there? Well done videos.

Great review…my second time watching as I’m looking for a GPS/laser unit. Currently testing the Z82 and have the R1 in the mail to test…curious…how do you know your Nikon is spot on? Have you had it actually measured? If so, how do you do that?

Thanks for the video, really insightful. For the shot tracking you always need to have the sensor on the clubs or can you manual input which club you are hitting?

Very cool! My Leupold just STB after 12 years…so, looking for a new rangefinder. The club tracking is interesting. I used an old device that required tapping a device, might have been made by the same company…but it was just a club tracker…Not sure I need all the Plus features as I use the Arccos grips and tracking…if I get it without the GPS device, does that mean I don’t get the club tracking, because I don’t need that part…As for your situation with the Cobra driver, with an older system that I was testing, what I did was just had a piece of cardboard attached to my bag with the screw tops screwed into it and labeled, and then just tapped the appropriate screw top with the club I was using instead of attaching them to my clubs…I prefer the Arccos system since I would often forget to tap the sensor on my sensor…

Hey Gabe….for the issue with the Cobra grips. I found out that the little Arccos sensor can be removed from the grip. Then, the hole is there to screw in the sensor for your club tracking.

Looks awesome. Would love a comparison between this and the Precision Pro R1. I bought the R1 as it’s a range finder but then their app allows it to be a GPS device and with a toggle on the device you can go back and forth. Also this one takes into account the local weather for distance. Crazy how detailed these devices can get.

I’m not sure I get it. So you have to tap your club each and every time you hit a club to get data? Seems like a pain in the neck. Would also be good to have seen what the data looks like coming out of the input from each club and how you diagnose weak spots.

Been waiting for this review. Main question is, how is it powered? Battery, USB, is the tile being powered by the range finder? Expected time between recharges/battery life. ,👍👍

For all skill levels, the free Shot Scope app allows the golfer to track their performance over time and analyse areas for improvement. Compare your game against other handicaps to understand your strengths and weaknesses. This can also help you set goals or targets going forward. Free updates and no subscription.

I don't like the clicking of the clubs b4 you hit because you will forget to do so many times. I have the Shot Scope V3 watch and it has never missed a club reading, it does it automatically and also my putting hits,no need to clicking. Also the Shot Scope V3 tracks all your stats and more importantly, it doesn't have the rip- off annual subscriptions like arcos o cobra connect or golf simulators which is the reason I haven't buy any subscription based items. Shot Scope products are awesome and amazing prices. Great review like always 👍

Did my man just admit to 3-putting and then hit the "2" button? hahaha. I do have a question about "collect pins." It's my understanding that you need to do this at the hole, rather than on next tee box or in cart or something. I think It needs to be "collected" as close to pin as possible to use the data for shot tracking. Is this not correct?
