Not to call the passenger out lol, but i did consider the civic but I own an integra because it was a hatchback and it fits a tall person like me very well! It has it’s perks having this over the civic Si. Seats are more comfortable, there are some added luxuries, like heated steering and seats on mine!
@markovwms Жыл бұрын
The sound system alone would be the reason I’d get this over a civic
@Hallowsaw Жыл бұрын
I was dead set on getting a civic in the next couple of years because it is so practical, relatively cheap to own(insurances are shockingly high on civics) fuel efficient and looks MUCH better this generation. But... the integra with the tech package is only 6k more than a fully loaded civic. And has a great sound system, the suspension has a comfort setting, and the integra has the really good looking blue and red color. Also 43 mpg is what these guys got on the highway! The civic only got 41mpg. Sarah n tuned got 37 combined in mixed driving and she gives stuff the beans all the time.

I own one too. Did consider an Si but they were all 3-5K above sticker at the time (and still are) in my area. The Integra I love all the added creature comforts and got mine for sticker along with the 3.9% special APR Acura had at the time. No rattles (yet) and it’s been a fantastic and efficient daily driver. I see the integra vs Si debate more along like the lines of the base trim vs loaded trim of the same car along with a longer warranty and hatch
@briannwo1900 Жыл бұрын
I own this exact car colors and all. I don’t have any “rattles” ! Also hate the constant comparisons to the Civic Si. The Integra is a liftback which puts it in a completely different category from the Civic Si. Better comparisons would be the Volkswagon Arteon, Kia stinger or Honda civic sport.
@ktakashismith Жыл бұрын
There would be almost no reason for the Integra to exist if the Civic Si was offered as a hatchback. Obvious choice by Honda to nerf the Si so that it didn't cannibalize Integra sales.
@briannwo1900 Жыл бұрын
@@ktakashismith Civic SI shouldn’t exist anyway. It’s a damn Civic. Why try and make it into a race car or something. It’s a Civic. Toyota did the same thing with the GR Corolla. It’s a damn Corolla folks.

We’ll, they sell a ton of Si’s and at a markup pretty often so the market thinks otherwise

You couldn’t have picked a better colour? 😂 I imagine the scenario went something like this; Dealership: *we’re glad you’ve chosen Integra as your new vehicle, any colours for your exterior.* You: *I’ll pick the most boring* Dealership: *are you sure*

When they announced Integra, I was hoping they put the 10AT from TLX in here. And they came out with CVT.
@anaveragehuman2937 Жыл бұрын
Right?! Or at least the dct they already used on the ilx!

10K price difference? Price difference not so much in California Bay Area. Si's were hard to come by and marked up to 34K. I decided to test drive the A spec 6MT-fell in love. I actually got it for 33,5K At 7000 miles no squeaks or rattles-or shifter issues. Put summer tires on it. It's a blast on twisty back toads Lots of folk put tunes on the engine to eliminate rev hang-and boost HP and Torque. To turn OFF traction control-you have to do the "pedal dance." Ive not tuned mine as I want to keep warranty.

blud is comparing this car to a civic SI which makes sense, but i’m thinking in terms of would i buy a civic sport touring hatch, or a fully loaded Acura integra. AND i will take the Integra all day especially since i’ve never driven a manual, and the rev matching makes it a perfect first 6MT.

I just bought one with MT and now I wish my commute to and from work was longer.
@theconformist2399 Жыл бұрын
The awful rev hang makes me actually consider the CVT over the 6MT. That, or just get a Mazda3, since the 2.5L NA has hardly any rev hang. Or the new WRX. Rev hang just makes a "daily" car so much more difficult to drive smoothly in daily traffic.
@mrmyagi6710 Жыл бұрын
It's the way their driving it. Sport mode you can throw it in gear and go. Comfort mode it's butter below 4k rpm but rev hangs so much at high rpm.
@CherylBeachlerRizzo Жыл бұрын
Unpopular opinion - We bought the CVT and I enjoy driving it. If you live in a city having a manual is annoying. Can't compare to the Civic Si. We wanted a Civic Hatchback, but there were few available in our area, and I'm sure they are being marked up. This is most definitely a better car than the hatchback sport touring which also costs more than the Si.
@ShaiyanHossain Жыл бұрын
the thing about driving manual in the city is not the manual part its the fact that you are in traffic. the clutch on the integra is light enough to where its not really an issue if you're ever unfortunate to be in that situation anyways

The Integra is for a older more mature crowd that needs the practicality of a liftback. The Civic SI is more for the younger boy racer crowd in my humble opinion.
@anaveragehuman2937 Жыл бұрын
Agree about the Si. I like heated leather, nice stereos, and lumbar adjust. My shopping comparison was between Civic Sport Touring manual and Integra manual. Price difference between those two is a lot closer and Integra makes a lot more sense as a Sport Touring step up imo.
@Orangematz Жыл бұрын
I like the Integra but I really feel like Honda and Acura have been cost-cutting and charging high prices with a lot of their models lately and it's extremely disappointing.
@squeakycleannnn6 ай бұрын
Speaking of charging high prices, that's not uncommon with all mainstream car manufacturers.
@Veyronp87 Жыл бұрын
its a nice premium compact car. i think it comes down to if the additional features are worth it to you over an Si.
@anaveragehuman2937 Жыл бұрын
I see a lot of people compare it to the Si. I’m looking at it from a sporty practical hatchback perspective and comparing it to the civic sport touring. Lumbar, sound system, lsd, and Si shifter are calling me.

$33k for Civic Sport Touring Hatch manual or $38k Integra ASpec Tech manual 🤔 I think I'd have the integra if just for the lumbar

I really love the A-Spec as an Acura product, as a modern interpretation of the Integra sedan. It does remind me of the RSX and TSX in some ways. Acura is always special. The Si is sportier, lighter, and more fun to drive, but sacrifices the liftback and many luxuries. The Bose system is very good and punches above its weight. The ELS 3D is not as good as it should be. If the Si markup is unavoidable and the Integra could be had at MSRP or with a discount it could be the obvious choice. The Si will retain its value more than the Integra.

I am debating on a Civic sport 2.0 hatch, Civic si, or this car. I just found out that I could order these from Costco auto for $350 off msrp for a Honda and $2000 off msrp for an Acura. I live in a competive market and the si currently has a $8999 markup at this dealer. But if I show them my Costco card he has no choice but to sell the Civic si for $350 under msrp. Hahaha I was so suprised!

This thing honestly sounds as loud, if not louder than the Civic Hatch 6MT you drove about a year ago. I have seen a few of these around, and every time I cannot fathom why I would drop $36.5k on one of these. Is the sound system really that much better than the Bose in the Civic? Does it even matter if it's a rattly cacophony inside the car any time you're above 30mph?
