A very thorough video and your English is good! You explained your impressions of the bike very well. Thank you.

Very helpful review. You brought up points about the Trophy version that other reviewers left out. I think the BMW designers and engineers did a great job slimming the bike down while improving the engine and transmission and while preserving the bike’s overall identity as a GS. From a practical standpoint, the central locking, lighted panniers will be very welcome while traveling (no more digging around in the dark and having to lock everything by hand after a long, tiring day).

You don’t know his vision through the bend so it’s a ridiculous comment…he’s a very good rider.
@norm701 Жыл бұрын
@@IanTed apologies if the comment seens offensive. I was just worrying the safety of the rider, I am not saying he is not a good rider, if you know a bit of history of this channel Chris was also a very good rider and unfortunately he left us. also I want to point out that if you look at the 2 vans in the video they are clearly very very close to the right to avoid the bikes, the 2nd van even has rear wheel on the white line already. the road surface is more than enough for 2 giant van to past through quickly, if you still pushing the other side to react there is defo something off.

I would go for the minimalistic trophy model. Even if I don't normally go off road, the fact it can is reassuring. Sporty on road too!

What suspension the GS Trophy you tested was installed ? E.g. Sports or Standard suspensions ?

You titled both this video and your last with the model year 2023, but isn't this R1300GS a 2024 model year bike?

How tall are you? Im 193 and the bike felt pretty small after my 1290 SAS... and even smaller than 1250GS. Great vid btw

for me the biggest disappointment is the missing apple carplay or android auto. we are in 2023 and talking about a bike in the price range 25-30k. we know how s**t is the bmw navi.

if the headlight was different you’d be here saying how awesome it was.
@thomaskittang2364 Жыл бұрын
@@Crsf84 I definately wouldn't because it isn't. It is the death of an adventure bike for a motard with a cheaper frame. The new engine sounds like a permanently loose fan belt, feels slower to react and a quickshift that should be called slow shift. The ride feels like sitting on top a log in stead of being part of the experience like the 1250. So no, I will never call it awesome. I dislike everything it stands for.

Great video man. The bike in the Netherlands starts as a basic model €19995 euro to compleet al accessoires bags and bla bla the price is €35000. 😢 where is the fun in that. Better is to go to the old model end 80’s begin 90’s like the Transalp Africa Twin 750 Yamaha Tenere etc etc. These bikes are still running it has a stear 2 wheels and an engine. Where is this all end there is no fun of riding whit this machines. Anyway i do like the video but i don’t like the bike. The adventure is gone whit this bikes.

An even better GS for ageing shorties, love my Multi V2S after three GSs but I’ll try one before moving on to the beautiful Multi V4S, no BMW gives you that Ducati feeling when you open the garage.

I still mising a version with longer travel suspentión and of course 21" 18" wheels ! It would be the only way to make me think to change my ktm 1290 Super Adv. " R" !! But anyway it is not the case!
