2023 Cadillac CT4-V vs CT4-V Blackwing | Is The Blackwing Worth The Extra $20k??!

Another way to tell them apart is the sound of the exhaust. I have a 2023 CT4V BW with the TR-6060 manual. The rev match makes the downshifts sound awesome and the no lift shift is a great feature along with launch control. This car gets! It pulls hard in every gear, so much fun to drive and it handles impeccably. Definitely a sleeper.

very good accurate info for the most part! But just an FYI most reviewers who said the AKG sound system wasn't the best also said that it is still definitely better than the Bose system. I have the CT4 Blackwing and LOVE it. I can tell you first hand once you manually adjust the EQ settings and crank up the volume the AKG sounds pretty damn good to me. Also if you do get the Blackwing you really don't need any options more than just the base model as most upgrades are only cosmetic. And you are right the base seats are more comfortable and practical than the upgraded bucket seats as I've tried both as well.

Thank you! I’m glad to hear that the AKG sound system is an upgrade from the Bose system. After experiencing my CT4-V which I absolutely love, I could only imagine how much better the Blackwing would feel. I would definitely opt for the base seats if I were to get a Blackwing, the seats in my car are so comfortable. Do you daily drive your Blackwing? The Blackwing would be a great upgrade from my car, the only thing I’m worried about is the RWD and the fact that I’m in Canada with pretty bad winters.

Yeah I think my AKG is about 95% as good as the BOSE on my ATSV. Still really good after EQ adjusting

Very nice car may not be as fast as the blackwing it's also not as expensive and it has that all wheel drive to be a better buy if you live in a climate that calls for traction!!

Is that Midnight Steel ? I've got my Blackwing coming soon in that colour. I got every option I think. Both CF packages, PDR, climate and tech packages, sunroof etc. Should be here in a few weeks. I'm trading my ZL1. Big step down in power but I've had my fun with it and I need comfort and semi useable rear seats.

Yes it is! You’re going to love your Blackwing!! Yeah you will find the Blackwing more practical with the back seats, they are small though lol. The ZL1 is a beast as well!

Hey thanks for the video. I love your vehicle color and the CT4 V in general. I heard that thiis vehicle has tubro lag. Can you rid this with a tune? Would the Blackwing have less turbo lag? Thanks for the great informtion.

Thank you! A tune will help with the turbo lag, it should at least minimize it. The Blackwing should have less turbo lag because it’s a twin turbo system compared to the single turbo in the CT4-V.

So you are basically paying 20,000 more for engine and suspension, worth it? I think so for that much more engine and overall performance

You are getting 147 more horsepower in the Blackwing, that’s a lot. Also, like you said it will have the magnetic ride suspension upgrade which will make a big difference.

The 2.7 on the V is detuned compared to what it puts out on the pick-ups. These engines can put out as much or more torque than the blackwing with a simple tune.

Beautiful car! I was convinced elsewhere that the magnetic suspension was indeed available on the V series CT4 and CT5 but I guess you would’ve gotten it if it was. Nice job on the video.
