I don’t know if anyone has suggested this about the placemat pillows……but they are two layers of fabric. If you open up a portion of the stitching you can stuff it and seal the opening closed either with needle and thread or hot glue. Ta-da, a full sized pillow from one placemat!

You can also cut a slit in the back of the Dollar Tree placemats, add stuffing and have 2 pillows from 2 placemats

Did you know you can use just one placemat to make those pillows. Just use a seam ripper to open the bottom, stuff and handstitch or glue together. ❤

I loved this video. I’m going to try to make the bags into a picture. I think it would be pretty with the tartan plaid fabric in a larger frame and then the bag picture on top, because I need something larger to go above my mantel. Thank you for the ideas.

I am going to transition these ideas to a winter theme. Buffalo plaid mitten with mop trim for door. Frames as snowflake theme, reindeers snowy owls. Centerpiece snow flocked greenery with snowball ornaments and winter trees.

Love everything you do and your lovely style. I have made DT pillows with placemats but if you really want a bigger bang for your buck you can just take the stitches out of a small spot of one placemat, stuff and either restitch or glue and you have a print on one side and a solid on the back or you can cricut a design on back and for VERY little money you have a custom pillow

What a great idea those bag pictures frames are. I think in our local store you can buy a framed print for around £4 so it's not really worth it unless you see a gift bag that you absolutely love.

Great ideas, Jenn. For the Dollar Tree placemats, they usually have a backing on them so what I do is cut a few stitches on the back so I can stuff it, and then hand stitch it back or you could glue it. The back ends up being plain but since no one sees it I don't mind. I also take Dollar Tree little cloth bags, I cut off the draw string and stuff them, sew the top up to make mini pillows.
