I get 27 mpg on my 2020 Telluride and 22 mpg mixed driving. My brother has a FWD model and gets 32 mpg highway and 29 mpg combined.

We just got an EX and absolutely love it. The only complaint......the Telluride does not have a walk away lock feature so you have to either push the button on the door, the key fob or the app. Our 2018 CRV had this yet a 23 Telluride which is arguably the most popular SUV doesn't? The funny part to this is when you walk up to the car and if it's locked, the mirrors will fold back out so clearly the car can sense when the key fob is near or not.

Honestly, with the new grand highlander with the max, Lexus and the TX and GX, Kia needs to do a major refresh soon on the telluride incorporating better horsepower and a hybrid model to stay “top seller”

Might be good to mention the new IIHS back seat safety test since so many are shopping these 3 row SUVs for family use. I know the Hyundai Palisade scored poorly so I’d assume the same would be true of the Kia. Unless they did an structure update for this refresh.

They should have kept the amber rectangle running lights in the headlights as a Telluride trademark. It was striking, distinct, and handsome. They really moved the market window with the Telluride/Palisade introduction, but everyone else quickly surpassed them. I'm looking forward to their next attempt to up the stakes (and this ain't it).

I don’t like that they got rid of the Orange DRLs in front. It was the signature look of the Telluride, a total eye catcher. That and they don’t have any other engine options regardless of trim level :/ more considering a Sorrento as the 3rd row is less important to me and more of a nice to have for emergencies feature

This is true but the GX460 is like a 15-year-old platform and doesn't have nearly as much creature comforts and tech, Plus last I checked the gas mileage is archaic

@@denault3985 that’s certainly not true. Tens of thousands of Tellurides were recalled due to fire risk. To my knowledge, no remedy is available

I agree with the Mrs. She’s the first person besides myself that says those gray pieces remind her of a toy. The difference is that I don’t like it at all. If it weren’t for the power folding mirrors my choice would be the Palisade because of the more polished look, included maintenance and ergo motion seat. Love the family reviews.

Kia still needs to open up the top trim with an available 2nd row bench. They are not alone in this "can't get this with that" madness (Pathfinder one of the few exceptions..., and if you check all the right boxes, with Infiniti QX60 you can option the next lower trim 95% close), but a real blindspot. No (legitimate) analysis that says that a buyer who wants the nicer top features doesn't, necessarily, also need or want the extra passenger capacity and versatility - or vice versa.

Kiddo puking in the Telluride? My son got nauseous the first time he went in a 2022 Telluride SX and I felt it as well while being driven on rural roads that had undulations. That has never happened to me as far as I can remember. Micah touches on it. I believe there is more work to be done on the chassis and suspension to improve driving characteristics…It’s not agile at all. You feel it in the corners and those tight on-ramp curves. I guess if you don’t drive like Micah and myself it may be fine.

The kia telluride has objectively ended the grand Highlander or the Lexus tx just as I had suspected I’ve said it so many times that kia Hyundai can basically slaughter Toyota products that aren’t even announced or on sale yet and that really shows. The tx and grand Highlander are nowhere near as good as the telluride even though neither of them are on sale yet That’s how good Kia is. Well done kia you’ve done your duty

@@ALMX5DP the grand highlander is a wrong choice. The traverse is a wrong choice. The Explorer is somewhat of a bad choice. The telluride palisade pilot cx90 are really the default choices to choose from

The Telluride is definitly a family hauler, but will be replaced or supplemented by the Kia EV9 Electric.
