Please remember, this is a compact crossover. Space is small. We chose the Mazda CX30 turbo premium over all its competitors. This car feels solid. Drives amazing. Interior fit and finish is top notch. I use this vehicle as a commuter. I average about 29.7MPG per the computer. I keep my foot out of the turbo, only use it when I need it. I know I have surprised a few people in how fast this little vehicle can move. I run full synthetic oil and premium fuel only. Have owned it about a year and no issues.

Spot on! Great owner’s perspective that showcases what and who the CX-30 is good for. It’s an awesome compact crossover, and about as fast accelerating as you can get for this price range. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Correct, it was only the early year low trim level that had the 6.9”, thanks for the clarification! 🙂

Love ours but I wouldn't call it fast. It's quick around town for sure but past the 1/8th mile the times are slow and trap speed even slower thus not fast. Wording yes, but it does matter.

I did the " Build it" on the mazda site and the CX-3- came out to $36,360 or so and the CX-50 came out to $42,616 and I'd have to add about $2500 for wheels and tires as I'd get the 1.5" factory lift- and change to 17" wheels with WILD PEAKS just like the meridian version... I LOVE the styling of the CX-50, but I love what I see in THIS review- (feels more realistic than opinionated).. and doesn't feel like you're trying to push my opinion one way or the other. I guess the only way I'm going to be able to decide is GO DRIVE them.. :) RESEARCH STAGE OVER!!! :)

I have one eye now and don't feel good in heavy traffic. but- hopefully I can get the salesman to drive out of town a bit then take over... :) I don't do that part of town where the dealership is- too many NUTS running around down there.. ha. Does anyone know the difference between the premium & premium plus?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
On the US Mazda website it lists these features as the main difference. 360º View Monitor, Smart Brake Support-Rear Crossing, and Traffic Jam Assist. 🙂

The 360 camera is useful for parking, but that's about it.

Is Mazda AWD as good as Subaru?
@AutomotiveAnonymous2082 жыл бұрын
I don’t personally think so. It’s more FWD biased and you can feel it while driving in inclement weather conditions. The Mazda AWD system feels better in the turbo vs. non turbo due to the torque power allowing greater wheel spin. But I feel in more control in the Subaru’s I’ve driven. With that said, Mazda’s AWD and factory or even better tires may be more than enough for your area? Thanks for watching! 🙂

We felt the CX30 was a better package than a Cross Trek. The sporty look, the driving dynamics, interior we felt were better. I have taken the CX30 out in 6" of snow/ice and it handled it with ease.

Currently leasing a 21 Mazda3 Hatchback Premium and I love it but a little more space would be nice. Really considering financing the CX-30 after my lease is up next year!
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
That would be cool! I would recommend checking one out if you haven’t yet just to confirm it will be enough space for you compared to a CX-5 or something! 🙂
@gldflcn Жыл бұрын
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 yes I’m actually going back and forth between the 2. I don’t have kids so I feel like paying extra for more space doesn’t make sense but at the same time that could change. Maybe the space will come in handy in another couple years. Another thing that concerns me is that the CX-30’s are manufactured in Mexico and the CX-5’a are still made in Japan. Should I be concerned about this?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
That’s a great point, you never know what surprises the future might bring, but also enjoy what you want now so you don’t regret not having the experience if you need something bigger down the road. I would hope that isn’t a problem, but I have no doubt Japanese built is better. One viewer commented that they’ve actually had a tour of the Hiroshima plant and the quality of the work was very impressive! I can’t remember what year they mentioned doing that. Best of luck! 🙂

Lol, I know I know. But heated leather seats, sunroof, AWD, and 0-60 in the low 6’s with a decent sized hatch? That offers a lot compared to some other vehicles. But yes, I don’t blame you for the crying emoji lol 😂🥲

on the opposite side... love the CX30 Turbo Premium Plus; 360 cam and the turbo are my favourite features I came from a 2020 Forte GT and even that surprised me; although not the best in snow
@AutomotiveAnonymous2082 жыл бұрын
I could imagine! I did some snow driving and a bit through an unplowed area and the 30 did pretty good! The turbo feels more confident in snow than the non turbo’s due to the extra power to wheel spin and plow through. 🙂
