I kept waiting to the end to find the hidden feature, this is normal on modern vehicles, my 19 f350, and 21 ranger were the same as was my wifes 15 journey, 19 corolla and now her 23 wrx

Another fun feature is that the tailgate may not actually lock because they didn’t bother to put any lube on the contact points(on the locking mechanism in the tailgate)that have friction. Just put some lithium grease on there and it works all day long.

Really enjoy your videos. I have a 2024 Pro 4x. I want to change out the interior map lighting. When I took off the cover there was no bulb. It's a diode. They make a SMD12 board that would be a lot brighter. I'm not sure how to get the light panel down. Would you make a video on how to pull down the whole black panel so I would have a better idea on how to change out the diode boards. Thanks in advance

On my regular king cab frontier the drivers door needs some oomph to close.

@therrienmichael08 I actually heard that's a problem on a few of the trucks. Also opening it takes 2 pulls is another one I heard.

What is your lift size? and what tires you have and size? please

It's the Dobinsons IMS lift kit. 3 inches with the lift another inch with the tires. 285 70r17 Mickey Thompson Baha Boss

You have any issues with the drivers seat reclining back ln its own ? I bought a new pro 4 X and thought i was going crazy. Each and everytime i exit thr truck and come back later only to find the seat reclined back 1 to 2 inches.

I’ve had mine for 3 months. I haven’t had that problem, but I’ve read a few reports about that happening

Mine hasn't had the issue but I've heard it's the button on the side of the seat. I guess it's pretty sensitive and people's legs rub on it getting out and it reclines the seat. Not sure if that's the issue 100% but it's what people have been saying.

Thanks that's my issue as well, I've done some tests by measuring the steering wheel to the seat & when I get out I remeasure it again and find out its true somehow without even knowing it your leg or thigh touches the recline button when getting out, Its gotta be a Bad design flaw. I've never that happen before in 40 years.

Yes mine does the same thing, I have a 23 sv. Thought maybe I was to heavy for the seat.

Someone on 2022+ Nissan Frontier owners club created a new button that can be 3D printed, I printed myself a new button and installed it. Haven't had an issue with since.

I have a 2022 frontier and it is a real learning experience with all the features. I hated the beep beep sound when locking and I couldn't remember the technique to silence it. I did it on my 2008 xterra but I couldn''t remember the sequence. Hold both lock and unlock of the key fob and it silences the beep beep during locking. I had intermittent locking of the tailgate of the Frontier and found that a plastic fitting on an actuator rod was not rotated to lock on the rod. That, plus a single press of the lock key fob did the trick....possibly lubrication of that fitting as another has noted which I have not done.

@@CanadianCruisin I had to go back into the tailgate a few weeks after re attaching the plastic fitting and then treat the fitting with white lithium grease. It has been working fine since then.

@Task-Failed-Sucessfully probably not. I like the look of the bigger screen but I'm not a huge fan of how it's laid out with the vents

??? Do you have to pay additional fees to keep your remote start working after a year or two or maybe when mfg warranty expires? Same question on all your tech package options such as the Navigation system? I'm comparing to Tacoma and they have subscription charges after a year or so. Really enjoy your videos!!!

There’s not a fee to keep the remote start working. It’s a feature that’s built into the truck and key fob. The only subscription I know of that requires payment to keep up is Sirius satellite radio, if you like that. I never pay for that. Any other “normal” vehicle features that would require payments to maintain would be a complete deal breaker for me now and should be for anyone else as well. I bought a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and it was a great SUV. Loved it! But the remote start feature was tied to that Bluelink that required payments to keep after it expired. I quit using the remote start to keep from coming to depend on it for that reason. Then traded the vehicle for my 2023 Frontier, and will never again buy a vehicle where such basic conveniences are tied to continuing payments later. My wife’s 2022 Hyundai Tucson has remote start as a standard feature like my truck does, so maybe Hyundai got the message that others won’t keep paying for it either. One other thing, built in navigation is a silly feature nowadays. Wireless Carplay and Android Auto defeats the need for that as you can navigate right off of your phone. Built in navigation is another one I don’t pay for and I’m pretty sure that will disappear from vehicles in the future, just like CD players have.

@@yakketyyak954 Some other manufacturers are requiring subscription services for their heated seats and such. How dumb can you get and still breathe? Absolute deal breaker for me. I’m not giving in to their nonsense for residual income. People have to take a stand here.

Have you noticed that you can open the tailgate without unlocking the car, at least 1 time? If you open and close the tailgate with the truck "locked" the tailgate allows you to open it l, but after closing it it would get fully locked, until unlock by fob or with the handle Does this make sense? Try it 1 - Lock your truck 2- open the tailgate (this should not be allowed without unlocking) 3- close the tailgate 4- tailgate is fully secured

You can change that locking feature to unlock all doors and tailgate with just one push of the button. I guess it takes some to learn about these features. So they make a video to hopefully, make money.
