We used to routinely hunt with compound bows in the 40 " to 42" ATA range, nice to see some of that coming back. Great review!

It's funny to me guys will say that they need a 28" 3.5 lb bow for hunting... then, later in the season, they'll happily carry a 41" 11 lb rifle.

Why is that funny?

@@quintonb9870 because it contradict with what they need previously with a bow

If you are hanging your bow on a hook while whitetail hunting in a treestand that is one thing and it is another thing if you're humping it up and down the mountains.

If I'm at full draw waiting for good timing, or I have to be very stationary to not spook turkey, I'd rather have a lightweight bow at the end of my reach instead of an anchor

Or you shoot 3d walking it around it makes a difference but I see what you are trying to say

Such a solid looking bow. I have a Mathews V3X 29 primarily for hunting. However I feel getting reps on a longer axle to axle bow will better my shooting overall. Been looking at the TRX 34 but the price point for a two year old bow is not really selling. This PSE Shootdown looks like a winner.

The old PSE Shootdown was canceled after one or two years because of the Supra Focus. Now this bow reminds me of an old Supra Max with other cams, too. But I'm not sure this bow will have a longer product life cycle than the old namesake.

Hey PJ, could you make a video about shooting with glasses and how to set up verafier/clarafier with a scope.
@woodsdog7849 Жыл бұрын
Ha, I noticed later in your video that you said the same thing about the ATA's of our hunting bows back in the 80's and 90's!!

Looks like a 2014 Supra Max with different cams. Which is definitely not an insult, one of my favorite bows of all time... Still regret selling it, that was a wonderful shooting bow!

I loved the supra max! I had one I called it "suicide" cause it practically shot itself!

Does Lancaster have a payment plan ? 3 year interest free that would be nice . Big box stores have that it works very well ! If you don’t then I will just keep buying used bows thanks

What are the letoff options for the s2 cam
@Gibsonlife573 Жыл бұрын
I just think that there should be a way to be able to build a cam that could draw smooth and fire a really fast Arrow but I'm not no engineer it just seems like for me every one of them that you fast have us significant dump into the back wall and obviously they're going to be a little bit stiff but I don't care about the stiffness it's that dump into the back wall that shakes that bow everywhere
@bullitkatcher Жыл бұрын
That dump is because of the drawcurve and high letoff. If you have a bow that doesn't dump, then it loses some potential speed. And if you have a high letoff of 80-90% dat only makes it worse. So you either have to have a lower letoff to reduce the dump, or you taper the draw force on the back of the curve losing speed
@theingobeck4772 Жыл бұрын
You should have tried a Full Throttle. It didn't have a dump into the valley because it didn't have a valley, 😂

Price in hunting color?

36 seems a little bit long for hunting but then I think about it what if somebody primarily shoes Target but they also want to venture into hunting this is a good idea I would like to know if it could hold up to the ss34 I think that 34 is flat-out that BowTech hit a homerun on that it don't even feel like 70lb at all it ain't as fast with the options you have like I wish they would have put the time lock on it obviously but I guess I really need to shoot this 36 to see because PSE also makes one of the best teams I believe on the market when that's the SE cam I would prefer to have the EM
@jakeoregonoutdoorsman Жыл бұрын
I shoot a prime ct5, so 35 Ata and I love it I primarily hunt with a few paper target shoots and a few 3d shoots mixed in. Super stable and honestly pretty easy to hunt with even in pnw brush. I've tromped through some nasty thick stuff here and felt fine. I think if someone wanted to go with a 36 especially if they hunt more open places it would be great.
