I own the old version but with non Cross Country with the D4 engine. Its getting old, but it works like a charm and 1500km(932miles) out of a tank and with plenty of torque its a great car.

I own a 2023 B5 XC60, the best mileage I've gotten is 36 mpg, averaging 65 mph approximately. Not bad for a bumpy road.

We have yet to road trip the new v60 polestar but on a long trips it was around 30 with the old supercharger/turbo motor. The new turbo only motor seems like it should be a bit higher which is good. Plus we should be able to use the battery probably twice? during a tank so that's +80 miles.

Charlie, What a surprise! I thought you had subcontracted all mpg tests to Chris😉 On an unrelated matter, are you ever going to get an ordinary Camry to test?

Not all of 'em! We actually split them evenly, but we've had a good amount of cars recently that haven't needed fuel tests, so I give them to him when there's just one in a week. I've requested a base Camry many times, and Toyota doesn't stock them. Pretty sad, really. They only have a hybrid XSE for '23 model year, and we just had it.

We have a 2015 XC60 front wheel drive with the 2 liter turbo (I think the first year for this engine), anyway it runs much better on premium and gets about 1 mpg better than on regular. We have never got 34 mpg, 31 at best on a long road trip. The V60 Cross Country is a little lighter, maybe more aerodynamic. I think the mild hybrid must be helping too.

Anyone out there have mileage numbers for V60 Recharge in hybrid mode? I'm thinking about the Volvo vs Audi A6 Allroad (which can get well over their EPA ratings based on similar tests).

I drive a 2020 v60cc n Always fill 89. No difference per volvo fts employee

Yeah that premium makes it equate to a 27mpg car on 87 yeah not worth it

Premium fuel stops the engine from knocking and lets timing advance. So running below premium your losing HP because the engine is attempting stop itself from throwing a piston through the bottom. I don't understand why people think 93 or 91 octane means ONLY more power its also safety especially in hills.

@@adrianfaustino5738 I’ve owned two Volvos from the 1980s that were bombproof. Volvo has had some of the worst reliability scores in the industry the past decade.

We had a v60 polestar for 25,000 miles and not a single issue and we were aggressive with it, but we did more oil changes than Volvo says. I don't go above 6k a change usually around 5k. More maintenance is happy motor.

I've had four Audis in a row, but need to move up to more interior space and refuse to get an SUV. It was between this and the Audi A4 Allroad, but honestly, there's no competition. The Volvo really out performs - and out styles the Audi. Never thought I'd leave the brand, but here we go...
