One premise regarding "essential." >> Each soul comes to this life with a unique mission assigned by G-D, and unique talents and gifts to accomplish that mission. The "rub" is that none of us knows what that is, and the vast majority go through life without ever finding out. This ties back to the "salt" comments. The mission that many settle for relates to work and a person's career. (A great short video on this from Alan Watts: Music and Life. He describes what the vast majority settle for as a "hoax." )

There are truths in the heart of the law. I think if you dig deep into any faith the elements that set the foundation like being kind and loving to others. Disciplining yourself to be honest and faithful to values. These seem to appear in many faiths.

Greetings to all and my wishes for a joyful day. Thank you for your goodness and helpful kindness. All that you do individually is appreciated everywhere. I noticed, yesterday the purple flowers on/in my wildly overgrown lawn, the yellows, the whites, the red-roses and the not yet bloomed sun-flowers and close to the ground growing chamomile. Even the different grasses - now well over knee high and sprouting - are just gorgeous. The bees, wasps, yellow-jackets, flies and ants feeding all seem to get along and enjoy breakfast as much as I enjoy watching them feed and collect. The tiny (and not so tiny anymore) birds greeted me as I was brushing my teeth. The sun came up, right on time. I feel so very lucky. Thank you that I may share all this with you. Love.

Ed, I'm skeptically optimistic about your formula to living a sinless life, but am looking forward to hearing just what you've come up with. My experience tells me that by concentrating on what not to do, I miss the opportunities to do. The "Don't miss joy" is not usually helpful for me in my sharing joy, so I avoid this. The couple's renewing of love and their sharing this epiphany with everyone is exciting and rejuvenating - even just hearing about it. I never understood the 10 commandments as orders to me not to do certain things, but as a guide helping me to understand what I might expect from myself and from others, explaining just who we are. Nevertheless, I'm excited to hear just what you are about to share with us. Love.

I caught the very end of this live. The Church with No Walls based out of Lakeland, Texas has had some pastor related sexual improprieties with minors from when pastors were housed, itinerant style, in assorted parishioners' homes. Just this week, the head/ founding pastor from another Lakeland, Texas mega church, The Gateway Church of Central Texas stepped down due to sexual improprieties with a 12 year old some twenty years ago. - Parents, please follow your gut and don't let the metaphorical collar blind you to what could happen/ be happening if there were no collar. That collar is no string of garlic protecting against a mythical vampire. Even preacher men (and women) are humans with humam failings. This is NOT to say all are but the calling can reach out to those wolves wearing sheep's clothing too.

A little late, but please pray for our Muslim brothers and sisters who lost family and friends in the recent Pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Over 1000 died due to temps between 111-120 Fahrenheit. Some tours didn't provide safe places to escape the heat.
