It’s a lot more practical and comes with more features than most super cars too. As some point you realize how much you’re paying for a badge and hype. Ferrari is charging 400k for a v6 with an aluminum chassis. I find that insulting.

ZO6 has supercar performance. However, it doesn’t have supercar status. Look, I’ve ordered one, it’s a great car, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a supercar.

@@davetoole2416 ok, let’s look at it another way. I owe Tesla model S Plaid. If I install track pack on it, is it a super car? NO. It would probably outperform the ZO6 in every way. However, it’s not a supercar. Yes it has performance of a supercar, but the status it’s not there. You have to understand, that by buying a Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, etc… you’re not just buying a car, you’re buying status, you belong to a club of people, and car enthusiasts that are on a different financial level. There are clubs, car meets, that are exclusive to that brand. That comes with a circle of people that are on a different level, than corvette. It’s easier to understand once you owe one of there cars, and than your eyes start opening up. You basically develop new connections, and network of people that have money. Trust me. That’s why the corvette is not a supercar. That’s why people who owe there supercars, look at Corvette owners differently. You’re basically not part of that wolf pack !!!

I think it is overstyled, gaudy and borderline ugly compared to any "supercar" out there. You would never see taillights broken into a million segments and dumb giant honeycomb black nonsense on the rear for no reason on a true European supercar. It is like a designer of cheap overstyled Wal-Mart toys made it.

My 600 rwhp C6 Z06 walked away from a C8 Z06 a week ago on the highway. No way would I pay $150,000+ for this trash. GM has ruined the Corvette… not by putting the engine behind the driver, not by making it a flat plane engine, not for offering only a DCT… but for pricing it out of reach for middle class Americans. The Corvette has always been known as the Middle Class Sports Car. GM took a big shat on their customers when they priced this car the way they did.

SO, because your modded C6 is faster on the highway than a C8Z that makes it trash? Dude, the C8Z does EVERYTHING from comfort, to handling, to ride quality, to braking to.....and on and on other than outrun a modded. 6 in a straightline. No it aint cheap but its cheaper than the cars it OVERALL competes with. Get a grip guy. Don't be salty, just say its its out of your budget and move along.

I just prefer the C6Z when talking about this league of cars. But I own cars echelons better than the domestics you’re relegated to driving your entire life.

youre crazy if you think this car should be 86k.. they can barely keep up with demand at 115k msrp.. and knockoff ferrari but i dont recall ferrari making a flat plane crank that reaches 600+ hp. Everything these days are turboed now and this really brings a breath of light to any car enthusiast even at the 115k msrp. If youre complaining it should be 86k then a hurcan, 675lt, and a f8 should be 140k bc they are marginal in performance if not worse. We should be applauding GM for creating a masterpiece supercar with its own bespoke flat plane mid engine na under 120k brand new. I just hope it can pull through in a sense of reliability but its people like you who dont appreciate cars for what they are and will forever find something to complain about. sad just sad.
