I picked up my Everest Trend with touring pack, upgraded seats and all terrain tyres in April. So far it’s been 17 thousand trouble free kms. I did road test the v6 but decided the bi-turbo was enough for everything I will throw at the car…including towing a 2.5 tonne caravan. Biggest trip so far has been out to Orange, Oberon, Dubbo, Tamworth, Newcastle and home to the ACT. We also did the great Ocean road recently where it handled the twisty roads better than I expected. I’ve even done a a few days of 4 wheel driving in the Brindabella national park. No buyers remorse from me!

@@robfowler3824 awesome mate, thanks for the update. I got a call from theh dealer that my requested 18" AT is not available, and someone has cancelled 20" Wildtrack edition - they are offering it to me. I am not sure to take it or wait for my model - the downside is - I am not sure if I will be allocated or not in future ? what do you reckon ? I am confused. I requested 18 and they said Ford has already built it, they cannot change.

@@coolmanu55 OMG if you can get a Wildtrak in the colour you want go for that i would for sure mate. you can always change the tyres at a later time. people are always selling the stock 18" tyres when they upgrade to hardcore 4wd tyres.

Bought my Everst back in 2017. I know have over 150k on the OD. It's taken the family with a caravan in tow all over Australia. It just keeps on ticking. The only changes have been the wheels to 16in rims with nice big meaty KO2's. The only thing I'd replace this with would be the new Bronco when it arrives :)

Nice review Matt, I have been on that same tack with my (former) Escape ST-Line which has AWD and 19" alloys with P235/45/ M+S tyres, yes it was a big rough but got to where you ended the review. As for the Wildtrack Everest, nice, buy the Sport with the bi-turbo to save and then upgrade with the tyre package, that said I cant afford it :( Ford have nothing I need i their range right now. Might take the X-Trail through that same track to test it out.

Wow that’s a bit off topic in a Ford Everest review. But rest assured I plan to review new-gen Peugeot products when they arrive. I’ve got a 308 review live and an e-2008 too, and plan to cover the 4008 when it arrives.

@@therightcar that sounds really good about the next gen Peugeot models. You're right, obviously, that my comment was off-topic but I'm not sure how otherwise to communicate comments/suggestions/feedback on a KZbin channel, and hopefully it helps the algorithm promote your stuff anyway, something along the lines of "all comments are good comments in the world of the algorithms"

The only thing that worries me about the Ranger / Everest V6 diesel is that is based on the old Ford Territory V6 2.7l diesel. And the Territory diesel was shared with a variety of Jags, Land Rovers, Range Rovers and Citroens 😱and the reliability of this engine was average at best. So yep not filling me with a lot of confidence. Anyway, time will tell how this engine fares over the long term. Can only hope Ford have learnt from the mistakes of the past and improved the reliability on the current 3L V6 diesel.
@therightcar Жыл бұрын
Yep, it’s an evolution of the ancient diesel that was in a number of the vehicles you mentioned. Let’s see how it holds up here!!

The engine has been re-engineered with many changes and updates, I did a lot of research into this and think it could be a very good engine, let’s see.

Why is it that the Everest gets more interior tech than the Ranger? The cooled seats with 3 memory buttons can't even be optioned in Wildtrak Ranger, and they'd make life a lot easier and more comfortable.
@davidbehrens121 Жыл бұрын
Sadly, this review is almost pointless, considering that Ford only released enough of these vehicles for one per dealership in the entire country, and they were all pre-sold, so you can’t get your hands on a new one. You might be lucky if someone sells theirs as a secondhand one in a few years.
