@DavidWright-kc6qg7 ай бұрын
The ZR2s are available because they’ve been delivered. They’re also the fastest moving in any chevy vehicle. They also had crazy markups in the first few months of availability. I saw 10k over sticker at a dealer. Being impossible to get isn’t a positive either. ZR2 is down on power, but it also has far more support in the aftermarket for accessories and it’s a substantial improvement over the previous generation that was already a great vehicle. The ZR2 costs less, can tow more, has longer travel in the suspension, better angles, and is more intuitive. The Raptor has mroe HP, and the fox live valve mean they can never be lifted and they can’t get larger tires which is a big deal in the off roading segment. They’re both incredible vehicles, but while they each can do 99% of what the other can do, the Raptor loses out on capability and comfort.

@DavidWright-kc6qg7 ай бұрын
You can’t put larger tires or a lift on the raptor. The live valve system in the suspension wont let you and it’s the only reason to buy the truck. Because of that it isn’t able to fit larger tires without a significant amount of cutting. The ZR2 doesn’t need more torque, and power in a race on the dirt is less important than being able get the power to the ground. Doesn’t require premium fuel, the DSSV dampers are incredible and the ride is stupidly comfortable. It’s also got more than enough power for what it does. Cruising on the highway with the 2.7 is deceptive because there is so much torque in the low end you find yourself casually reaching 80-90 mph if you’re not being mindful of your speed on empty roads. Plus it can tow more when needed, has ventilated seats, and vents in the rear. The Raptor is also great, but I can understand why they would pick the ZR2 as a better daily.

You need to do your research better, australia has the same engine as the US in the raptor. Petrol

Ahh yes, Talking about software buttons for the lockers as an issue because you might need to turn them on without looking while you are bombing down your local trail. Who TF are these clowns?

Forgot to mention the ZR2 is 10k less. For true comparison you need to get the Bison

It is a tough one in this case. Ranger raptor is ford's best truck. Colorodo in this case is the better. Not just because 4 cylinders is always better than more cylinders but it just better looking.

lol so a bunch of subjective feelings about these trucks. You had them for a whole weekend, we could have watched a series of tests between them and decided for ourselves. Edmunds is starting to put you guys to shame.

Ford guy here…too pretty…let’s go back to gear shifts and locking hubs with modern suspension and less electronics

Objectively, the Raptor is better than the ZR2. Better even for the reasons you stated the ZR2 won.
