Non-4RR owners are too caught up on price. This is not a beginner bike. The 4RR is a very special motorcycle that the 600's really can't be compared to as they are not in the same class. The 4RR is more than the sum of its parts or price tag, this is a true supersports bike. Small bore 4-cylinder sports bikes are something really special. If you know, you know. At the risk of sounding defensive...it's not about being able to "handle" a bigger displacement motorcycle. I'm in my late 50's and been riding my whole life. Big GS's, GSXR-1000, all kinds of big bad motorcycles, and this one is my favorite of all time. Nice job on the dad part!

We are getting less large displacement 4 cylinder bikes, and this is an alternative place for the market to grow into. It takes time eventually a deal will come out right now it's just starting, prices aren't gonna be where we want them. That's why you buy used. Come on Honda, i want a 250 CC 4 cylinder engine that revs to 25,000 RPMs make it happen.

I had my clutch start slipping on my '23 N400 like that 3 days before my first track day, upgraded springs which helped. Still had it happen a couple of times only bc i didnt leave enough slack in the clutch cable

Maybe try playing with clutch cable adjustment before replacing the springs. Myself and several others I know with 4RRs never had clutch slippage with tunes.

Not going to solve the issue. Spears Enterprises has the parts you need. For some odd reason, Kawasaki runs the same clutch springs in the Ninja 400, Ninja 500, and probably this ZX-4RR. Penny pinching I guess.

@@exothermal.sprocket Did you stop reading after the first 5 words? Clutch slippage is not usually an issue on tuned ZX4RRs. And why would it be? The tunes basically just give them the horsepower they come with in other markets.

I didn't have any problems or issues when I flashed my 2023 zx4rr. In fact the throttle response, quick shift, gears, and clutch responded a whole lot better after the flash.

rather than replacing the oem panel filter with another panel filter. would it not be better to remove the filter entirely and replace that with stack filters? 1 for each velocity stack. on a car i know it makes a big difference to power and sound, not sure about on a bike though

I had the same clutch slip issues on my cfmoto 300ss directly after an oil change. Turns out I used oil that didn't have a specific "thing" in it that prevents that. Can't remember what it's called but another oil change later and slippage was gone. Could be your issue.
