An outrageous price for such an old car. Hyundai have lost the plot and are pricing themselves out of the market. The Chinese brands are going to devour them.

So they downgrade the engine from the 1.6T with 150kW/265Nm that was perfect for zippy driving and overtaking in heavy traffic and on multi-lane highways to a 1.5T that struggles to dust off a 1980s Corolla and they still decide to slap an N Line badge on it. Barely any changes to the interior to justify the price hike, the exterior front design looks like an i30N with the sharper headlight design so people might seem gobsmacked as to why the performance seems so bare bones. I’ve been a fan of Hyundai big changes since 2017 but this to me is a step backward, would rather fork out 40k on a used i30 N with less than 20,000kms on the odometer.

If you brought a 2018 N-Line Premium & wanted to upgrade to the newer model after almost 7 years of ownership. For a $20k - $25k change over price. You are going to feel massively short changed. And even feel like going backwards.. Where has 7 years of improvement gone??? With all the "N" badging it has, is devaluing the "N" brand. As a previous owner of a 2017 PD manual SR (as it was called before using the N-Line badging) with doing almost 110,000 ks in my 5 years of ownership. I found it very reliable with no problems at all. But I just don't see anything at all at what this "new" model is giving. This new 1.5lt in Real World conditions won't be as frugal on fuel as the previous 1.6lt. I regularly was getting 5.1lt - 5.5lt per 100ks on my trip to work. As the i30 N-Line Sedan still uses the 1.6lt, same as the Kia Cerato GT. Please do a comparisan between the two cars. Same roads, same driving conditions. Then look at the fuel usage. Won't be anywhere near at what Hyundai are claiming.

Great idea and can try and hook it up. But the Kia Cerato is about to be replaced by the Kia K4. Which we'll be driving in a few days. Stay tuned for our first look.

Although no more boring aspirated i30 family hatch cars and focusing on i30 N-Line the turbo warm hatch with a sporty 1.5 L4 turbocharger with mild hybrid goes best with ethanol unleaded and thrifty than turbo i30 N.

Didn't Hyundai learn anything from Honda when they went upmarket by dropping there entry grade model civic which accounted for 80% of civics as a result civic sales droped by that margin can't see Hyundai being any different

I can’t believe they have lost the 150kw engine that was so good and economical, I have the sedan nline premium love it, definitely would not swap for this new hybrid power train and lose of power and honestly I get better economy currently, anything from 4.8lt to low 7lt’s pushing it through windy roads and being enthusiastic.

I bought a Hyundai Tucson top of the range in 2015 for $48k as they were at the time. Within just a couple of years it started falling apart. Switches started breaking, volume control, electronic keyless entry switches on front door all died as well as the break switch and not just once. They died during warranty and then again out of warranty. Once I found out the cost to fix I replaced what I had to and left the other intermittent ones and sold the car. After 110 thousand KM's I got rid of it. I didn't even mention that the engine was blowing smoke and we always had it serviced on time. I will never ever touch a Hyundai and for that matter a Kia ever again.

We had to get rid of our 2017 Kia Sportage for similar issues. Ours needed a complete engine rebuild (thank goodness it was under warranty). It then spontaneously fried all the wiring to the headlights. First and last Kia/Hyundai product.

That's no good. One of the team here had a 2017 Tucson and it was rock solid, except for the DCT auto transmission. It regularly shat itself.

In Australia which vehicle manufacturer was number one for 2024 Toyota of course that's makes 26 in a row at number one in Australia and l don't think Toyota will loose that number spot any time and don't forget Hyundai and Kias awful reputation as compared with Toyota's reputation which is pretty good and that's why Toyota out sells any other brand although there are some very good brands with good reputations for reliability like Mazda Suzuki and Honda also Lexus

Agree Toyota has a great reputation but they are about to be slaughtered by the market because they’re relying on their reputation and they cameras and audio systems are outdated and they are quite Vanilla. People are looking for some refreshing exciting new brands. I mean Chinese and Korean brands not very reliable, however Toyotaare becoming slower to get with the times and using cheaper materials with less quality.

i had a 2019 model i30 n-line just a couple changes still the same car not worth the price hike.. this will be a hyundai that slowly disappears from showrooms in due time

This is a disgraceful update for the Ii30. Now down on power which no one wants and still average on fuel for this day and age not to mention the disgraceful interior that is completely outdated, wired Apple CarPlay and android auto, come on this is ridiculous. The i30 is only surviving due to its overall popularity of being a cheap alternative Corolla but now it is superseded because it has a rubbish interior. Even Toyota has updated their Corolla interior. Where is the great interior that we see in the other latest Hyundai and Kia range. The truth is Hyundai are making ugly cars now with great interiors. All they had to do was upgrade this interior and increase the power a little bit. No one wants better fuel economy in a sporty hatch if there is a sacrifice of power. Well done Hyundai no wonder you’re going down the toilet due to your decision-making. It’s now affecting the brand financially. Oh and Kia changed their logo it’s now time for Hyundai to make their logo less ugly.
