Wish Kawasaki would call their hybrids the " Kawasaki Kusarigama" Series. Like the weapon itself is made of two weapons into one. It is made for quick attacks. Plus the name just sounds sooooo good.

The reverse function should be there in motorcycles centuries ago...its almost impossible to reverse on heavy motorcycles on some nasty parking spaces like those we have here in India

One of the joys (at least for me as an ex-KLX rider who now rides a Ninja) of riding a motorcycle is modulating the clutch and rowing the gears, otherwise why not just ride an matic or a scooter (i go to shop for groceries on a matic and it's not fun at all just convenient) ? My suggestion would be not to include electric motors in the drivetrain, but downsize the engine, put on a turbocharger, and use the motor to eliminate turbo lag. So it can have the efficiency of forced induction, eco-friendliness of a KERS, the hair tugging pull of a sportbike, and the green credits for the earth nerds. I don't know about in other countries but in mine, people who buy sportbikes already have another vehicle meaning they buy a Ninja for the fun of riding, it's a hobby not a necessity, they already have a grocery getter with a matic. So doing this might hurt the the market where i'm from considering the targetted demographic of sportbike buyers here are people who like the fun of riding and not as a beginner bike or as the main mode of transportation. Edit : I do hope only the best for my favourite Japanese motorcycle brand Kawasaki, but if this doesn't sell well then i suggest taking a different approach to market research on your target audience.

I thought the same until I rode a Honda DCT. All my cars have always been manual, and all my bikes until the Africa Twin with DCT. After riding it for bit and getting used to it it's spectacular. You still get a similar rush as shifting but you're just using buttons instead of pulling a clutch. It's not a CVT, so it's not like an automatic trans (although you can drive it like that). You should try it before you knock it. The whole point of this bike is to have liter bike power (under eboost) while also having the fuel efficiency of a 250cc bike. Adding a turbo (more fuel) and then using the electric motor for torque fill completely defeats the entire intention of this bike. Also this bike does all this while meeting Euro 6 regs. It's not just 'environmental nerds', it's about making bikes that are quick, fun, and meet the emissions and fuel regulations of a large market segment. Also, this is literally the first iteration of hybrid tech in a bike. There will for sure be sportier examples down the line. Appreciate the effort and tech, and what the future will hold with this new creation.

@@JacobMueller Point taken, and for the record, where i come from cheap small bikes are essentially akin to that of a DCT, because it uses a centrifugal auto clutch (so no manual clutch lever) and row the gears manually via foot pedal, as for the Matics as i have stated before, i do use them as a grocery getter so i am not knocking it before trying but rather speaking from experience. However in a sportsbike, i feel like removing the clutch lever simply detracts from the experience which is nothing more than a matter of personal taste, but as i said before, your argument about efficiency is -from a technical standpoint- valid (i would know being a former mechanical engineering bachelors and having worked at a tuning shop). I agree with what you said about the possibilities of sportier versions down the line considering this is simply Kawi testing the waters for the hybrid market, i was simply voicing my own opinion based on experience on the matter for the fellow petrolhead squids out there considering some bikers will have the same suggestions as i do

Please make one proper adventure bike under 300 cc which has 200+ ground Clearance , tubless spoke wheel , new TFT instrumental cluster , and also it featured all latest features which is available on ktm 390 and you must launch it on India with affordable price

@@YBGuy I can see that by the paddles on the left handle. Looks a bit out of place for the fingers to trigger them but hopefully we'll see design improvements.

Reste à savoir son prix, vu que Z125 EV coût plus chère que la Z650. Là, il annonce une performance équivalent à une 1000cc, je suppose que son prix ne serait pas sous la barre des 15'000€ ? Mais effectivement, c'est une véritable innovation. La batterie sous le siège avec un refroidissement par air, j'espère que ça ne chaufferait pas trop les postérieurs. "Reverse function", est-ce qu'il s'agit du recul ? ça serait cool. Impatient de voir les avis journalistiques aux essais.

Oui, tous les contrôleurs de moteur éléctriques EV ont cette fonction (puisqu'il s'agit juste d'inverser la polarité) donc il serait dommage de ne pas l'inclure ici...d'autant plus que la bécane sera plus lourde que les petits scooter éléctriques qui sont maintenant assez courant et sur lesquels la marche arrière reste un peu sans intérêt.

@@h-disconnected6612 There are test videos of it out dragging a liter bike from a stop through the 1/4 mile and winning. But it also gets the mpg of a 250cc bike. Don't let the stats fool you.

@HaydenMills69hp BUTTTT it has the very broad power band and instant torque and brought by the electric motor in tandem with the top end of a 451cc engine. It performs much better than you would think.

It's probably DCT just like the Honda version. It has a clutch, you just use a button instead of pulling a lever and moving your foot. I rode the Africa Twin DCT for a few years and loved it. It shifts faster than you ever could, but can also allow you to just chill out, or concentrate on cornering. It's truly the best of both worlds.

This is a cool idea, but it's better to make it like my jeep 4XE, where the batteries are NiMH batteries. Little less power output, but they work better. And they are more stable.

E100 flex fuel bikes are a reality in Brazil since 2009, it is usually present on cheap delivery bikes from Honda and Yamaha.

@@AQHackAQ i have, not great but an electric motor too could make it interesting, i did say it could be horrible too. I agree tho, v twin would at least be an improvement but space is probably an issue in the engine bag with an electric motor, as to why a parallel twin works, very space consious engine layout

V4 not V twin. 200 not 450! 200 would be more than enough power with the hybrid motor. The sound of a 200 V4 might be weird though. Too much clutter and complexity. They couldn't do it for less than $15,000. And it would only be heavier than it straight ICE motor

25 years after Toyota brought the Prius on the market, finally even in motorbikes there is some advancements in technology…. A motorbike must be much more economic than a car… The weight hurts a little bit. But otherwise, Well done!

Advantages. The same size gas tank will give you greater range. Trail braking becomes more rewarding. Mid-corner "maintenance" throttle becomes practically free. Disadvantages. Space and weight. I've owned a Prius hybrid for 11 years. The tiny (5% of a full EV) battery really increases mileage. Great bang for the buck. At 66,000 miles, I'm still on the original brake pads. I used to clean brake dust off my Mercedes E320 wheels, every two weeks. I don't even notice any dust on my Prius wheels.

Hopefully there will be a Naked or Adv version, a scramler like this engine or a smaller one like the verxy x300, klx 230sm with compact, practical, sturdy design, elegant aluminum swingarm , Seat height is about 800mm like honda cl500.and price around under $6000 .❤❤😂😂
