I have one... and freaking love it 🎉 there are several things I would improve but nothing tech-based. I bought my IS knowing it was already "outdated" and analog. But that's exactly what I wanted from a dinosaur n/a V8. I installed a Borla exhaust yesterday. It's close but not at the same level of the LC500. As always great video Matt

Such a great car. Love that at least Lexus is keeping it classic with physical knobs, not having gigantic screen and even keeping the CD player. Overall a great car which is keeping it simple. Gotta love that, especially in 2024

Drove this at Lexus performance driving school. Lots of fun on the coned slalom track. But really enjoyed the LC500 on the racetrack The only V8 left on the market. Simplicity and power.

CDs are outdated. So are naturally aspirated V8s. They’re nostalgic. That’s a good thing. Plus, CD sound is not compressed. They sound better than streaming audio.

Good review overall. I love the idea of this car. The CD player makes sense to me. I think of this as a nostalgic car. Naturally-aspirated V8. Traditional muscle car with Lexus reliability. As a nostalgic car, a CD player makes perfect sense, especially considering the fact that CD sound is significantly better than anything you'll get via today's common streaming services.

One thing that bugs me about lexus is that they dont use real leather on their IS models. If im paying $50,000 +, i want real full grain leather. And the tech is not up to par even with economy class auto makers. The kia stinger GT 2 looks more advanced and luxurious on the inside than the IS models.

I drive mine in the harsh Canadian winters. Just a good winter tire and you're all set.

@@yousef.al-assaf I'm in upstate NY which isn't even close, but mine handles it surprisingly well with a good snow tire. It can't beat AWD of course but I was climbing up a hill while the FWD Accord and Altima nearby were scrabbling for grip.

@pyramo3170 Yup, the LSD does wonders. It really makes the car feel AWD sometimes (then a sharp corner comes and you send it with confidence and get reminded that it's still an RWD afterall.... lol). Super fun in the winter when you push it.
