I love the breadth of cars you feature! Me? I'd take a new Aston Martin Vantage or DB12 over this, but this is still a gorgeous car!

If you are going to drive an AMG engine you may as well get an AMG. The DB12 is at a different price point and once you are there may as well get the McLaren and be done with it. Even the vantage with a good spec easily goes $50k more than the highest 63 spec. And you could get a 55 for a lot less. The challenge with the Vantage, apart from the fact that it struggles to put the power on the road, is that while it is pornographic to look at from the outside, and gorgeous on the inside, it is just a little bit more annoying to drive. The infotainment feels dated, the controls are slightly awkward. And it feels a little poserish driving it around. This is so much easier to live with, and at the same time a flip into S+ and it’s just an absolutely brutal bruiser. It is all personal taste but I would, and did, choose this every time.

They're basically the same underneath. I would save some money and get the DB11 or pay more and get a DB12​@@omostim2385

You won’t get a loaded vantage for less than $250k, and it’s still a less comfortable place to be. The vantage is pretty, and inside is wonderfully designed. But the tech is super dated and difficult (unlike BMW which is modern but complex and annoying). Essentially you are buying the same engine, but with British styling and tech. The vantage struggles to put the power onto the road, with this the power is effortless yet brutal at the same time. You want this if you want to date the hot punky girl with dragon tattoos. You buy the vantage if you want to date the pretty rich girl. Who’s slightly mean. And no one likes. The base version of this is the 55, and runs in fully loaded around 180. This is pretty much complete at 200k, you can go 10k higher with the composite brakes. So at 200k you are top of the line. A 200k vantage is basic.
