Just wanted to let the people know- 1) the essence model (top model) with the baas pricing will cost about 15 lakhs on road. This price includes road tax, insurance and other stuff as well. 2) if u opt for the top model inclusive of battery then it will cost you upwards of 18 lakhs on road. I went to a mg dealership in Delhi and hence I can confirm the figures mentioned above

Ideal size by range seems to be 45 kWh(price and range wise) as it will give realistic range on 330km.. considering 80% charge mostly it still gives 270 meaning for a person driving in city for 80 km a day can charge on third day end I.e. mid week and need once to charge in a week which will anyway be case with 50 or 55kwh battery.. 45 kWh should be priced nicely like nexon has done..

If i am going for subscription plan with buy back after 3 years @60%, and @3.5rs x 1500 km pm for 45k kms ill be paying Rs 1,57,500 n my subscription will be over in 30 months, what about balance battery value considering Rs3.5 Lac as battery value, will mg or any financier adjust Rs 2 lac approx against my resale of 60% n deduct the same n pay me back, No one in mg is able to answer this as yet. At the end of third year they will not give you 60% u will have to give the car without any wear and tear. Meaning no dents, scratches, tire quality etc. so 60% is a play only. This is the same with lease cars in usa. They will bring up new things when you return and try to pay less to you.

1. MG needs to give an upgrade option from the existing 38 Kwh - 50 kwh. Let's say I buy this 38kwh now, next year if there is an option to upgrade to 50kwh. I can go for it at a difference cost. Anyway, they give a lifetime warranty and the batteries are swappable. 2. I think going with other bank like SBI, HDFC for car loan works outs better as they give car loans at 7.5 - 8 % based on good CIBIL score. then why to pay 9% with MG tied up banks? 3. For long-distance travel - MG needs to build battery-swappable infra. Go there and swap the battery. Yes, batteries are not light, but i think we can build capabilities to swap car batteries like E-bikes. It can be a game-changer, they can generate revenue out of it, and with less power they can recharge the batteries.

Do the math. 1300 km per month comes to 6-7 years of usage to recover 3.5 lakhs of battery price. In 7 years your battery would eventually wore off.... so go with BAAS

BaaS is just repackaging the emi as part of your running cost to convey the extremely low running costs of running their EVs. to get people to start thinking in terms of TCO total cost of ownership instead of focusing on the upfront cost.

You seemed horried in making this comparison. Doesn't provide accuracy and in depth analysis. Many others complained that leather seats are not comfortable in the mid and upper segment. Also it was a tedious experience while operating the sunroof from the infotainment system. Getting used to these baseless upgrades and paying extra doesn't make sense.

My son whois in Automobile Industry only and has worked for Tata Nano, BMW and Land Rover Jaguar for mr than 10 years, now working at Bajaj Electric vehicles in a significant corporate position said the while explaining 3 variants Base, Customer makes money or say benefits Top end company makes money. The mid one here, doesn't have glass roof. Out country is not a cold zone but for Northern borders. If you don't drive yourself, ventilation inseats make no sense. As such total length of journey can not be more than 4-5 hours. I drive my Corolla for 10 hours a day when on long trip but doesn't feel uncomfortable because of non ventilated seats. If I drive myself, I will focus on road not on Ambience Decor/light. Middle varient has everything what you need, of course Essence gives you what is you want. Choice is always who wants what? As car owner cum enthusiastic driver for more than 50 years I prefer car engine and controls if listen to you, it is what we want. Ambient light of 256 types, 9 soeakers or panoramic views you can not see while driving but controls, lights, power you do need.

Mujhe bhi bata do 10% per month kaha milta hai mutual fund mein. Hum yaha Edelweiss ke liquid fund mein 7.5 percent per year pe paisa atka kar baithe hain. occasionally, some mutual funds will give good returns in short term but over the long term, compounding at 10% per month means you have way too much exposure to risk

So my question is after how much SOH battery company will change battery eg: my nexon prime battery was changed after 90%SOH My nexon max battery was changed after 85%SOH. Lifetime warranty is a general sentence, you can twist as per your convenience. In buyback policy, MG says 3 years or 45000 km. MG people fix this figure, Like this sir. Thanks

MG's battery tech and expertise is far more advanced than Tata's. You can expect the battery to last the life of the vehicle. Life = similar to that of a typical petrol/diesel car = ~1.5 - 2.0 lakh kilometer OR 15 - 20 years
