Just bought the 2025 X5 50e. After test driving GLE's and Cayennes, it was an easy choice. Porsche got softer...we had '06 cayenne s 2 panameras and a host of 911s. I was so disappointed.

I test drove both, Cayenne felt better in terms of performance, the integration of the screen in the dash is cleaner and overall better in my opinion. I can give the Exterior to the BMW but not by far. Porsche is the better choice but vote with your dollar.

Porsche is a different league to BMW. If you can afford it, the Porsche is the better car - it drives better and has a superior quality throughout. If budget is a factor then BMW offers better 'value for money' - although, I am confident there are cheaper vehicles that offer better value than BMW too. It is not a great comparison as BMW is in the league with Audi, Mercedes, Range Rover Sport etc. Porsche is a league above them all in terms of driver experience and overall quality - it just comes at a price.

The curved screen on the x5 is absolutely brilliant. When I test drove the Cayenne, I really missed the ease of viewing that the x5 has. The screen just needs to be angled towards the driving.

My 2 cents: 1) X5 suspension is softer, 2) X5 has automatic parking, cayenne does not

I have a 2022 BMW X5 40 xDrive and my brother has a 2022 Porsche Cayenne. While I like BMW vehicles (I also have a 2024 i4 M50), I’m disappointed with the leg room in the back seats of the X5. The Cayenne is much more spacious in the back seats with lots of leg room. BMW continues with their design focus on the exterior lines of the car with a massive front-end at the expense of the rear passengers. My daughters’ VW Tiguans offer substantially more rear seat leg room than the X5. Disposing of my X5 in November.

I think Porche more cost because X5 can repair any luxurious garage but porche is not much.
