I actually don't want a leather wrap steering wheel because for my job I have to keep driving to a bunch of different buildings and I end up holding the keys in my hand and I'll scratch the leather as they did in several cars I found

I don't think the car is slow I just think everything else is so fast nowadays because I used to have a camera that had 130 horsepower and it was definitely not slow

If you have to pay for a tcv failure on a 2.5 which I hope you don't have to but it's a very high failure rate and it will cost over $1,000 to fix

I wanted a Crosstrek pretty badly. When it came time to replace my previous car, the Crosstrek just felt too small for me at 6'2", 260lbs. Ended up in an Outback. I've had the Outback for almost a year and 19k miles. It's in the shop having a sunroof rattle repaired. I asked for a Crosstrek for the loaner to see what I'm missing... it's more agile and feels quicker, but it's a little louder, doesn't ride as smoothly as the Outback, and the interior does feel nicer in the Outback. Ultimately, i like the look of the Crosstrek better, but i like the overall experience in the Outback better. But it is more expensive... so you get what you pay for. Both great options.

I feel like the Outback Premium is the sweet spot. I wanted the rear backup alert for my kid drivers, which was only available with the moonroof... but if you don't get the Sunroof, I think the MSRP is $31k for the Premium without any options. Also 17" wheels give you a little more tire sidewall which make the ride a little cushier on rough roads.

I love my 24 crosstrek sport. It’s the perfect daily driver for me. Smooth and quiet ride. Reliable and safe as well as capable. It’s my first Subaru. I have zero complaints.

I noticed you had enough negativity about the Crosstrek that it bought out all the Subie haters. Well done. ! I am in the first year of owning a CT Outdoor (Canadian) 2.5 engine.. my experience in the time I have owned it is it is an amazing car in bad weather (snow and ice) it’s performance in all conditions is great. Your decibel readings were hair splitting . These can change with so many factors. Road surface, weather conditions, and tires. I give my Subaru a thumbs up. For the price I paid for the options I wanted AND a full time all wheel drive, there was nothing better in that price range.

Love my 22 Sport, did great last year in the near record snows in the Sierra Mountains, never got stuck thanks to the clearance, and snow tires. Subaru makes an awd system that can be trusted in the toughest conditions, hence why we see so many of them up here in snow country. Have to say I have no issue with the 2.5L power, nor the CVT. I have driven manuals all my life, and the CVT works well enough, I've had no issues except for the droning when punching it uphill at 6500'.

Wanted the sport model but could not wait that long due to total loss chevy camaro. Premium that the dealer had on order still took seven weeks for delivery and had no heated seats. I love the car, my wife who is the primary driver misses her camaro. The oem tires were very poor on the ice and snow, michelin cross climate 2’s are on it now..

Interesting your statement about not all the lights are LED. The Canadian vehicles have rear LED combination along with headlight ans fog light.

You aren't supposed to gun a CVT like that. That sounds horrible and is not good for the transmission. (I don't own a Subaru, but I do own a CVT.)

I personally like this new crosstrek. The style is nice and familiar, but looks fairly different from other Subaru models (exterior wise) HOWEVER, I do feel like Subaru needs to change up the interior. Its about time for a makeover on all models, because ever since the current outback came out, they just copied and pasted the whole interior from that point on model to model and imo it doesnt feel special and it gets boring overtime. Its basically a hand me down. The only “unique” Subaru is the Solterra and thats just a copy n paste version of the bz4x with minor tweaks. If anything needed to be changed, it would be the gauge cluster. It’s quite outdated considering the year we’re in. But despite its cosmetic features, its a well balanced vehicle.

If it were TURBO-- maybe... just maybe... otherwise- NO THANKS. It IS the SAFEST by gov.t crash tests- and has the best awd system-- but that's about it.
