The manual box in the current version is very notchy and hinders fast driving. If they haven’t improved it for the 2024 version, the auto is a no-brainer, it will transform the driving experience of an otherwise brilliant car.

Nothing about the car is practical or useable beyond getting something really fkin small from a to b usually in several pieces...........ff 20 years and I assure you the purists will want a manual just like every other iconic car ......E46, i30n, type r, mx5, any fkin 911, nissan z, M2, supra, gt4 etc etc. Fk Electric, Fk Auto, Manual FTW

Even if the Automatic exists, it is still 20kg heavier than the manual version. This makes the manual have greater performance potential than the automatic.

It’s a homologated road going rally car so for driving tight bumpy back roads it’s already faster than an M2 and in the wet faster across that type of terrain than just about anything else on the road. Certainly in the UK they come with a 10 year warranty. For open roads/motorways the M2 will of course beat it hands down. Different cars built for different buyers.
