Screw you Toyota. I’m sick of greed and cheapness of build quality and horrible engine choices. The American market does not want turbos. I test drove the New Tundra and New Tacoma and it’s definitely not worth 50k to 60K for either trucks. The transmission felt weird in the Tacoma and the Tundra is having Engine recalls and replacement. Toyota lost their way and I hope all the executives and shareholders make a swift change back to their old ways of building quality vehicles for the working class people. Do better Toyota and Lexus.

So far the manual transmission issue is 5 vehicles, that fishing story with the fish gets bigger everyday and keeps on growing. The ford and chev also have 4 turbos. I get the prices have gone up, but new full size trucks are now $75000 to $95000. About build quality the third generation was also built in Mexico, only a small number were built in Texas and no one complained than?

Next Toyota will start selling customers accessories to fill in the those build gaps and wait until insurance companies and warranty companies have to start paying their crazy prices for replacement everything on these trucks. Prices will just continue going up for those services. Toyota knows they blew it and will capitalize on those who are just too blind to see it. I went out recently and spent my money on a third gen taco… now own a 2nd gen Taco too that has over 150k miles on it and only changed tires, oil, brakes and batteries, zero issues and runs like the day I first drove it out a dealer lot.

Armada isn't turbo. Its NA V8. Better value than a 4 Runner too. Insane deals on them right now. Bullet proof engine. Still have my 2005 with 230,000 miles. Keeping it forever. Had to repaint tho, Nissan paint does suck.

Idk man I stayed away from these cause of all the stuff I was reading online and to be honest with you these really aren’t that bad at all. It’s night and day better than the older one I ended up buying one because I got 7k off msrp if people want these the time to buy is now cause once they work out some of the kinks and these start selling you won’t find deals like that anymore. I do agree the 4Runner is better built overall but it’s only for people who don’t really need a truck bed

I traded my 17 for a 23 off-road. I could’ve got the 24 but no way would I ever trust a turbo four-cylinder. I paid 45,000 loaded for mine, right now that doesn’t even get you a loaded SR5 where I live.

I looked at them and went Tundra which was cheaper by $6,000 with the same options. I didn't know about the body fitment issues with the tacoma thats horrible. I thought the Tacoma motor was decent but the transmission was a hunter and the backseat is smaller than the 2nd-3rd gen. They missed the mark with everything but the looks of it.
