For such a big bike, it's very maneouvarable in cities and at slow speeds and stuff. Totally daily mine as long as weather permits. It throws up at shit tone of dirt, so I try to ride it only when roads are dry and stay that, however, even a wet or damp road will get you covered in grime and dirt in no time. FANTASTIC piece of machinery. Spoiled all other bikes for me! I'll ride mine until the day that I die!

Why while everyone mentions the Diavel and the American V twins as competitors to this monster, nobody mentions the Yamaha V-max (even as second hand nowadays) ? It's 1700 cc and has almost 200 Hp! It's also a mix between cruiser and a muscle bike. To me it's the closest thing.

@TopDonBarrow5 ай бұрын
@spdcrzy although it's about 40-50 less ib ft, I would consider 123 ib ft to still be more than enough torque for any motorcycle application. I wouldn't compare the rocket to a Harley 121 HO engine that has about 145 ib ft even though it's only about 20-30 ib ft less.
@spdcrzy5 ай бұрын
@@TopDonBarrow my point is that they're not even comparable. The VMAX makes all that torque at the same RPM as the Rocket's REDLINE. The feeling, the sensation, simply will not be the same. An apt description would be a Porsche flat-6 vs the LS3. They can both make 450hp, but the torque at a given RPM is what dictates the response.

I have a 2023 R model in Ice-Gray color. I would like to confess, that the recent Earthquakes here in NJ were cause by the Torque of my Rocket, as it temporarily countered the rotation of the Earth, hence causing the quake...Please don't tell anyone. Be that as it may, I did not like the GT version, the pegs are too far forward as you illustrated, and these new Storm models, I feel are too blacked out. An Engine like the Rocket needs to show contrast, an all black layout, takes away the massive nature of the engine

I find it a very easy bike to ride as well. Having mid pegs is the best set up if you want to take off. I don't find it intimidating because the electronics and balance is so good. The original 2300 Rocket was difficult because it was too heavy and cumbersome. It has a split personality as it can cruise nicely but has the potential to be speed monster. It's also light enough to scoot around in parking lots. I had to pick and choose how I parked the original Rocket III. Glad you enjoyed the experience.

Add an average size rider and you're easily at 400kg all-in, potentially closer to 500kg with a pillion and luggage. True, this generation of Rocket is a lot lighter (I think 40kg or so) than the original. But still a big unit!
