It sure is an everything bike isn’t it. I keep mine street, and no dirt so it doesn’t get so dirty 😂 I like keeping it showroom clean. You know these bikes are real lookers !

I've fantasized about owning a Scrambler ever since they came out. To me, they make much more sense than what's now called an adventure bike (very large GSs/KTMs/Ducatis ... but especially the GS, it's ginormous!). It's tall, it's narrow, it's not packaged in plastic ... Even though it isn't a match for my type of riding (sport-touring), I still have an itch for one. Impressive bike! (too bad Triumph took it down a notch for the '24 /'25 models)

I really went for the 2024 Baja orange. She’s a peach of a bike! Except nice firefighters trails or gravel I don’t use this bike off road. But for me it is a phenomenal road bike. I’m in the edge of height to handle the bike, I’m 5/11 tall, but I weigh 95 kgs, so the long travel of the suspension helps a lot. That’s not a real concern as the bike is very nimble and agile, very easy to manage on slow maneuvering, the wide handlebars are very useful and the bike is extremely well balanced. It’s not hard at all to ride . In traffic it’s also very cooperative filtering and due to the tall position of riding you see the way very clearly in front over the top of cars and another important pro is that it has an impressive road presence, so everyone sees you. Sometimes people who are driving cars don’t see the bikers and that’s one of the hazards of riding a bike, but here gladly, is not the case. I’m very happy about this bike choice! Thanks for the video and opinion. Loved it 👌🏻

I guess it depends on what type of off road you ride. I bought a 1200X purely for road use and love it. 👍I also have an enduro bike for off road and at over 100kg less, stepping onto it from the Triumph makes you realise just how big these bikes are. If I ran only one bike for both on/off road I don't think it would be this even though I really like the classic styling. Agree 100% on the finish and build quality.👍

Excellent review...I'm constantly thinking about getting one, but it's hard to justify as I'm super happy with my T7. It's just that the Triumph is such a 'cool ' bike..i had a test ride a few years ago and loved the engine and riding position. I can never sell my beloved T7, so the Scrambler would have to mysteriously appear in the garage...😂😂. Cheers Steve

Thanks for the great review. I like that you focused on the practical and real world observations, rather than the stats which we can look up. I was wondering if you would know what the settings are on the front forks? I have one and it came with 0 turns preload and compression and rebound at 2.5. This was terrible, the front end was pogoing like crazy. I set the sag with 8 turns preload and compression and rebound at .5. It did improve it but it's still very unacceptable. I'm afraid to take a turn on the highway at 70mph in case there are bumps in the road I might start to loose control. I just dropped the bike at the dealership to see what they can find. Your bike has been adjusted, while the rear anyway, it comes with 0 turns preload on the rear and you have at least 25mm of threads showing. I adjusted my rear and it feels perfect, it's just the front. Thanks again for the review.

Your comment about not wanting to ride it hard off-road if you owned one, that’s my biggest issue also. I have a 2023XE and while I’ve taken it on loads of dirt, gravel and sandy roads and two track, I’ve yet to take it on any single track for fear of dropping it and jacking up the tank and beautiful engine. It’s too pretty to get all scratched up.
@TheClassicMotorcycleChannel3 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's true, it's in the same category as a really nice 4X4, it can do off road well, just not worth dropping it to find out what the limit is

For shorter riders, the Scrambler 900 looks very similar/almost identical, however with a much lower seating position (around 790mm from memory), compared to the 870mm of the Scrambler 1200 XE. The Scrambler 900 also gets excellent reviews, and would be my preferred bike but I am 6'4'' so its the 1200 XE for me! Also, the 1200 XC (called the 1200 X in its latest iteration) has a slightly lower seat as well - again from memory its about 830mm.

Ah, this is interesting, yeah, I own a 2022 Yamaha Tenere World Raid which I use for adventure bike riding. I would do all the same stuff on the Triumph as I would do on the Tenere. I reckon you should test ride the Triumph, within seconds you will know if you like it or not, the power is amazing but there's more to it than that. I love the engine on the Triumph but the Tenere is enough for my style of riding on the road and off road. I also like that the Tenere's engine is only 700cc, I think it's more than enough, for my style.

I absolutely hated the suspensions on my early 2019 XE and after visiting 2 suspension shops, (revalve and resprung), it had improved, but still by no means was it comfortable and I ended up selling the bike. Looking forward to trying the 2024 with new suspensions, I loved the rest of the bike, but the suspensions were a deal breaker if that was addressed I could see myself buying another one.

Ah, that's interesting, I didn't find it bad actually. Maybe bottomed a bit easy but if I owned it I'd just add some compression and keep going, Alex

How was the heat from the exhaust which I think is the number one complaint of the scrambler did you feel the heat much or have they done something about it great interview by the way many thanks take care 👍👋

@EricMotoAdventures6 ай бұрын
The catalytic converter in the 2022 and later models was moved to behind the riders legs so exhaust heat not so much of an issue any more (might be a bit hot for a pillion though). I have a 2023 (living in Brisbane, Australia) and have done 20,000kms and can’t complain about the heat.
@richardearl2556 ай бұрын
The 2022 model moves the cat back. The 2024 bike adds some space between exhaust and cylinder head. There is no issue with heat, at all, on the 2024 bike

Delete the handguards should be first mod. 1st drop and it broke off on the clamp. Keep the pillion pegs on so when you drop it they protect the bike and give a better lay down angle for pickup

Nobody ever mentions the heavier bike you get the more wear if you ride off road. This should be common sense. A 1200cc bike is going to abuse the nobbies out of sheer physics. Ride a 300 ibs dirt bike if you want tires to last off road.
