Any idea why most new cars (especially Chinese) seems to be going for DCTs? From what I understand they are not great. Jerky take-off, rather harsh gear changes, and DCTs are crazy complex and not particularly good for heavy load use (off-roading and/or towing). It can't be fuel economy, because that's one thing that Chinese cars are so far universally terrible at. I'm not sure I'd trust a DCT in an "established" brand for this kind of (intended) use...
