Put a Rekluse in that thing......total game changer in the tight stuff

Yes - very tempting to try one on this bike.

Did you have any issues with flameouts yet with this bike? I'm on the fence between a 250 vs 350 xcf. I'm cautious with the 350, because of being difficult to ride in the tight trails, but afraid I'll want about more with the 250 in the wide open areas. Plus I've seen guys say the 350 is more prone to flameouts than the 250. I'm pulling the trigger on one of these two bikes in the next 2 days. Any insight before I purchase would be greatly appreciated,.

I think flameout at low engine RPM is similar between a 250XCF and 350XCF. My 2025 350XCF low engine RPM running is fairly smooth and better than my 2021 KTM 350XCF Kailub Russell edition. Rekluse autoclutch will fix the issue but that is a lot of money.

Hey man Love your content. How do you feel this bike would compare to a beta 390?
@mxengineer12 ай бұрын
I've ridden a 2023 Beta 390 Race Edition and a 2023 Beta 390RR. The Beta 390's have a more full flywheel feel to the engine - little slower RPM build and the engine runs really well at low RPM. The suspension is woods focused setting so too soft for even slow Vet moto but works great in the woods (spend the extra money for Race Edition to get the KYB suspension). The 390 Beta is heavier than the KTM 350XCF and you can feel this weight statically and in motion. The KTM has a lighter feel statically and in motion and makes more peak power and the engine revs more quickly. The 350XCF suspension and chassis feel firmer overall.

@@mxengineer1If you were only riding tight technical single track, which would you prefer? I mentioned on one of your previous videos that I’ve been on the fence about the Beta and a KTM. I’m in the Pacific Northwest and wonder if this new KTM could replace my 250 2t. Seems like such a well rounded bike. Have a bad case of paralysis by analysis.

@@vegasace1767 For tight technical single track I prefer a 300 smoker (I have a TX300 and Beta 300 Race Edition). For a 4-stroke on tight single track I would give a slight edge to the Beta 390 Race Edition over the stock 25 KTM 350XCF: the Beta has a softer more woods focused suspension setting and the engine has excellent low rpm stall resistance. If you put a Rekluse and fan on the '25 KTM 350XCF the lighter weight and fully tunable power with the CUO would give it the edge. Nice to have choices!

This bike or a 300 XC or XC-W? Woods riding in Michigan...

Hard to beat a 300 2-stroke for tight/technical woods riding. A 350XCF has that planted 4-stroke feel and with a Rekluse and radiator fan will make slow technical trail rides easier. Off the showroom floor I give the edge to the 300 smoker. A recent back to back... kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmOtioaQituae9k

@@mxengineer1 thanks for the response. There's a lot of whoops and deep sand as well. I'm currently on an older FX350, contemplating an upgrade, just not sure which way to go...
@mxengineer12 ай бұрын
@@rre1365 Nothing like endless whoops and deep sand on Michigan trails! What does your FX350 do well and what would you like it do better? Then think about how a 2-stroke would be in similar riding conditions - perhaps the lower inertia and engine braking would help it float over the whoops better? Sometimes it is just fun to change up bikes so going back to a 2-stroke for a bit can be fun.
@rre13652 ай бұрын
@mxengineer1 I've seen your videos on your new 350XCF with the CUO. Can you really feel the difference as far as engine braking? If so, does it make it feel lighter, like a 2 stroke? That may be the best option...
@mxengineer12 ай бұрын
@@rre1365 A 4-stroke will always have more inertia and friction (more moving parts) compared to a 2-stroke so there will always be a feeling of "engine braking" off throttle. The CUO does reduce the engine braking feel - not night and day difference but noticeable, especially if you are a sensitive rider. I really like the overall feel of the 25 350XCF engine - it has strong low to mid power and very strong mid to top power and it just really fun to ride: playful. With the CUO the power character can be tuned - dialed up a little or dialed back a lot.

Dude nobody rides that slow, that’s what makes your opinion irrelevant. It’s hard to watch. Just saying. I’m almost 60. I used to race moto now I love woods rides but damn son how do you go that slow

Ha Ha! I know I am slow! The purpose of this video was to show how the 2025 KTM 350XCF runs at slow speeds on tight trails. The previous generation 350XCF was easy to stall at low RPM's. I really like 350's! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4KyZJ95etqDZ5o
