Hi there! Was ingress/egress any easier with the CX-50 since it's slightly taller? I currently own a 30 and was looking at the 50, but I haven't had a chance to drive one yet. Thanks for the comparison!

Yeah, if anything it’s maybe a hair easier to get in or out of it. But I personally haven’t thought much about that with either vehicle. I always recommend you go sit in one for yourself! 😁

Is interesting (slightly) how many interior and exterior design features are familiar from my 2001 Millenia.

I'd agree with you on the choice of the CX5 over the others. To me the 5 is a lot nicer than the rest of the line. That's individual preference I guess, but the CX30 and CX50 are too wide for my taste, despite their differences. Interesting and thorough review as always AA.

I like the cx30 but that cladding on the sides is just too much. Other than that it's sharp. I just bought a 24 cx50 turbo premium plus. Absolutely love it.

Agreed! For it to be their smallest and sportiest CUV it makes little sense why it has the most cladding by surface area percentage haha. Congrats on your 50 Turbo, those things are fun!!

Seems more like CX50 = midsize, CX5 = compact, CX30 = sub-compact

That would make more sense! It seems the 5 and 50 have very similar storage space and less than a 6” length difference, which usually seems to be one big factor that differentiates each class of crossover. I wonder what the new gen CX-5 will look like and how it will be sized.

The CX-30’s that are sold in the U.S. are assembled in Mexico.
