I’ve heard Ford say a few times that people don’t use their frunks much. Frankly, I’d use my frunk a lot more if it was more convenient to get into. To open the trunk, there’s a button on the fob and another on the trunk itself. To get into the frunk requires opening the door and pulling on the release twice or pulling out the phone and using the app. It’s faster just to walk around to the back and hit the button.

Yep, that is exactly why we don't use our frunk as much.

100%. I didn't use it much until I programmed an F150 Lightning key to my Mach-E so there's a frunk button on the fob and now I use it ALL the time since I can open it from the fob. I ding Ford for this excuse, they're using the data ina flawed way. It's like saying "Data shows very few Americans drive imported pickup trucks so there's no demand for that". There's a reason behind the data, just take 5 minutes to think about it, guys.

@@AdamJakowenkoAgreed. The other thing that really ground my gears in this interview was the amount of navel gazing they apparently did over the door badging. Seriously, does anyone outside of Ford care that much about it? Is there anyone who’s contemplated buying a Mach-E who said, “Nah. The door badging is too confusing.” No. Seriously, I’d say either make it say just “Mach-E” or even better, eliminate it altogether and save a couple of bucks on every Mach-E made… Problem solved.

I use my frunk for two things: 1. to stow my computer bag when I travel. It feels more secure than the cabin or rear hatch. 2. To bring home takeout food. To keep smells out of the cabin.

I'm a bit confused about the complimentary, free-install, home charger unit. A large show display advertising the bonus next to the 2025 Mach-E, not available to purchase until early 2025, but all on-line information states the offer applies only to Ford e-vehicle purchases made before January 2, 2025. That seems to eliminate the free charger/ free install for purchases of the 2025 Mach-E. Am I missing something?

Ford has the nicest people working for them. Good interview and peek at the 2025. "Does it have a heat pump?" FINALLY. Now about that charging speed? LOL GT and Shelby editions need to be "Mustang performance" editions and really tuned for that role and able to take a beating and keep on bringing it. Lets start going after the Taycan levels of performance. Love that Ford is bringing fun and interesting colors. Imagine that, "stalks". Glad Ford is listening, but hope they start implementing those things faster. Like people asking to be able to see the charge rate on the dash of the Lightning. Listening is great, but let's see move of those requests get done. Camp modes, dog mode, the ability to run Pro power without turning on the vehicle. Backwards compatibility is important.

Man, you just hit the nail on the head on so many things! The charging speed is way too slow and takes twice as long as Hyundai/Kia. For a performance vehicle, the GT again falls flat vs Tesla and not even close to the Koreans. The software hurts a bit with some basic EV features that are missing. Where’s the kW gauge? It’s frustrating!

I'm a premium owner. I chose the premium all-wheel drive extended range. I did this because I wanted the distance over the GT which loses the distance but it gains performance. Wish the performance on the premium. It's a tad bit slower but the premium is just as fast. Not to mention when you get more people into the electric vehicles like the programmers, the developer software developers, you'll have people that can do what they do to increase speed to increase range to its Max performance on the premium models. But I would have loved and wanted to see magneride suspension on the premium models. I just thought it was more money. When I do decide to change out the suspension I will take it to Ford and see if Ford will sell me magna ride suspension for the vehicle. I didn't care about the G. Seating. Overall I want it range

This was a great video. I would appreciate the heatpump in my Mustang Mach-E in Virginia but I appreciate the bigger frunk. I wish the performance appearance package available when I got my Mach-E even more now since Cyber Orange isn't a color you can choose anymore. But I ended up getting the old GT rims my premium because I wanted the wider tires and they looked so good. I really hope we get the instrument cluster update. Having a power bar is one thing I've been wanting since I got my car. If we could get the speed in the center again with the cool graphics I would be very happy.

I'd rather have more space in the frunk than a heat pump. I don't blame Ford for making that tradeoff. I think Tesla -- because they used them -- convinced way too many people that it mattered. The fact he can't give you a range increase number says it all about how important it is. The metric about how often you use the frunk is misleading. I rarely open the frunk but it's terrific when road tripping. It's an absolutely phenomenal place to store things you don't use very often. But again, I understand that telling your customers they don't know what is good for them is a losing argument. Biggest improvement for me might be the retuned suspension. Have to see how that works. I love moving the shifter on the stick. That's one thing I like on the Tesla. The ventilated seats might be great but I've never been uncomfortable with the existing seats.

I see that the charging port is still up front, is it a CCS or NACS? It's a nice sales pitch to mention that Tesla is included in the Blue Oval network, however I think it is important to let people know that there are existing customers still waiting since March 2024 for an adapter to use a Tesla Supercharger. Also, not all Tesla Superchargers are open to non-Tesla EVs. The 24x7 "live support" is not as great as advertised. The Mach-E has its pros, but the cons need to be pointed out as well.
@MachE_VLOG
@MachE_VLOG 19 сағат бұрын
We could have a long discussion about the adapters and Supercharger network, but that would make for a very long video. Ford has added a second supplier for the adapters so the backlog should be eliminated pretty quickly. Ford (and other non-Teslas) have access to 17,800 SC stalls. We've covered the details in numerous other videos already. And for new EV onwers, the 24/7 support will be really helpful and something not available from other manufacturers.
@KMPeSales
@KMPeSales 18 сағат бұрын
@@MachE_VLOG the USA is 3.8 million square miles so 17,800 stalls isn't really much. BTW Tesla states 15,000+ stalls. Nevertheless, the number of EV stalls isn't as important as the distance between EV stalls. I know you're in California so you don't really see the disadvantages of EV day trips. I have a Mach-E GT and a V8 ICE, hands down the ICE is better for anything more than 240 miles. I reserved my NACS adapter on 3/3/2024, let's see if it arrives any time soon.

@@KMPeSales We've also lived in Colorado and taken Mach-E road trips on the East Coast. The available Supercharger network combined with the existing CCS network has worked out very well in our road trips. Probably the biggest gap between chargers that we had was between Green River and Salinas, Utah. That is only 107 miles and is easily doable.
@KMPeSales
@KMPeSales 17 сағат бұрын
@@MachE_VLOG 107 miles is not bad at all. We're in AZ. My most common road trip is Vegas. Took the Mach-E three times in 2024 so I had to charge at the EA site in Kingman six times. Every time at least 2 of 4 units were broken! It's a little over 170 miles between the only two DC charging stations I have on my route; Anthem and Kingman. I must charge at those two locations otherwise I can't make it. I have to drive slower than the ICE vehicles in order to maintain 2.3 mi/kWh. The usual flow of traffic between Wickenburg and Kingman is 85 MPH. If I keep that pace I'll barely get 2.0 mi/kWh. As for day trips (no overnight stay) to rural sights / hiking areas: Snowbowl, Tucson, Sedona, Holbrook, Apache Junction the round trip distance between a charging site and some of the rural areas is dangerously close to the max real world range of the vehicle (about 200-240 miles at 100% SOC). Elevation variance and ambient temperature affect the efficiency dramatically so in many cases the real total range is more like 200 miles. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mach-E for local daily use. It's just not as feasible as my ICE for family day trips that exceed 240 miles. If the max distance between DC fast charging stations were 100 miles in all directions, then it would be much better. I chose Ford over Tesla because Jim Farley said that Ford will be able to use the Tesla network. I am disappointed that the NACS adapter has been delayed so much.

@@KMPeSales As soon as you have the adapter, you'll see your options grow a lot. We charged in Kingman, Las Vegas, and Needles this summer at the Supercharger and it is a gamechanger. Now that Ford isn't just relying on Tesla to make adapters, I bet they will get caught up quickly.

what a complete load of bullshyt about the rotary shifter, first off people were weird to complain about that. it did not take up to much space at all, in fact the rotary shifter was a perfect position for me an probably the majority of us normal folks because when i drive i tend to rest my hands just a few inches away an over the rotary shifter, but now since the shifter is placed their now i have to make my arm trave 3 miles to the shifter just to gear select thats sad not to mention the frunk is significantly smaller then 2024 mach e which is even sadder i think ill keep my 2024 mach e premium an check out the redesigned 2025 kia ev6.
