Owner here with build 1228 out of Japan. Love the car/wagon/suv. Everyone knows the positives, here are user feedback items: small almost useless glove box, manual is in the glove box at the top, a tutorial on the infotainment system could be built into the software, no spare tire though there is a company making a spare that fits, assist roof handles have poor design backing (open casting), lighted door seal isn’t worth the cost, add mud guards, add body side molding, add door edge guards (all Toyota parts), wish the hatch open/close buttons were on the drivers side, watch seams on rear hatch for proper alignment (mine has 2x the gap on right vs left)(hinges on order), bottoms out on speed bumps (struts), cruse control braking at traffic light is frightening!, 4 way stops (best go manual), should have learn feature for curves (mountain roads are the tough test), hills can be a challenge the car uses all its power on steep or long hills, hood strut is a joke, no clip for front seat belts and that is what I have encountered. YES I would buy the suv/wagon again but probably wait 6 months for the possible updates and fixes. Zero issue so far other than cosmetics. Enjoy

Overall, I’m happy with mine. (Limited with tech package). You might add no sun shades for rear seat passengers nor rear HVAC controls, manual tilt telescopic steering wheel, lack of ambient lighting and HUD. The hatch kick sensor should also be on driver’s side.

Built in Japan and still inferior quality. I never expected that from the factories over there. You are paying crazy money for this thing and yet it is not up to the quality you expect. Also, the lack of standard equipment that you expect at this price point is sad. The Venza yet smaller more standard features and a spare tire as well and thousands less then Signia.

I have driven the ‘25 Crown Signia Limited for about a month now. It comes with a “digital key”. I love how quiet the inside cabin is. Back seat is comfortable. The full time AWD is a plus, normal and sport mode feels like you’re driving a V6. My only complaint is the manual steering column.

I just test drove it (the XLE model) yesterday. I fell in love with it, particularly because it was a cherry red color that Toyota calls the "Finish Line Red." It rides so much better than my 2021 Venza Limited. Very much like my wife's Avalon. Pick up and engine noise were similar to the Venza, typical for 4-cylinder engines. The Avalon's 6-cylinder engine is so much nicer, but gets 20mpg vs. the advertised Crown Signia's 38mpg combined. Overall, I'm impressed. We'll see if the dealer will give me a better price. Right now it's a hot item, so they're not too willing to do any discounting!

This is 13 months later and they don’t even have a build date or any clue when it will be here. I asked what the 2025 model looks like. They have no idea. Here’s a tip go to Toyota Thailand they have the 2025. Different front end that’s about it. Tired of waiting and lack of communication we are now shopping across the street at the Honda dealership. You don’t have to pay over sticker for one of these. There are currently 22 Crown Signia advertised on Autotrader, here in the DFW area. I just bought an Oxygen White Limited with tech package. The sticker price was $53,365. I paid $51,800 plus TTL. It had about $1800 accessories added by the Toyota Gulf Distributor. (Integrated dash cam, mud flaps, all season mats, illuminated door sills, connectivity kit, vehicle protection package). The dealer also fully tinted it and threw in a set of locking lug nuts.

If you realize the OTD price of this is getting close to 70k without the tech package, which is couple of thousands more than an entry level trim Lexus NX350h with a sunroof package, then you probably would shake your head like I did. If I would spend 70k on this, which is almost 20k more on a RAV4, I definitely won't mind spend another 15k to upgrade to RX350h, or spend similar money on a NX350h.

Please can someone explain to me why cars are getting smaller inside and their prices keep going up? Why pay more for small space?
@litchips2 ай бұрын
They aren't really letting buyer decide to tint windows or not. They put a UVU transparent film on the windows that most tint shops don't want to deal with, because it scratches easily and peels when tint is removed, leaving them on the hook for a new window. Also if something goes wrong, you have to get the new glass from Toyota, no aftermarket. Sort of worst of both worlds. Either tint it or don't, but then don't put a coating that makes tinting harder for the customer.
@ryans27602 ай бұрын
If it says UVS, it usually doesn't have the added coating. My XLE came with UVS. From another video: As a window tinter, I'll let you in on a little insight on this car since a large amount of people love to get their windows tinted. The windows on this car may have a coating on inside of them that Toyota and Lexus has put on a couple of models such as the NX and the Venza. You can tell if the glass has it by spotting "UVU" in the embedded stamp on the bottom corner. If it says UVS, it usually doesn't have the added coating. The problem is that when we tint windows, during the prep stage, we usually use a scrub pad or a stainless razor blade to knock off any adhesive or debris that will show up in the tint job.. well doing so can scratch the coating. The tint shop will then be on the hook to either replace the glass or spend a lot of time scraping it all off. The coating is supposed to reduce the UV transmitted through the glass but I'm sure that window film does a better job, especially if you get a nice nano-ceramic tier. A lot of shops know about this and don't want to touch them due to the liability. If they do, they will let you know that if you ever have the tint removed, the coating will be damaged and the window will then need to be replaced. And they better do it perfectly on the first try!
@litchips2 ай бұрын
@@ryans2760 Thanks! I'll go check the window labels at the dealership :) I got conflicting information on UVU/UVS situation. Toyota should clarify this. Having factory tinted windows would simplify this greatly.

Are we sure this isn't a legal issue? It is a wagon so by law in many states tints are not be allowed. May not be worth the effort on their part.

@@Cermedia Only 3 states outlaw tinting front side windows. Every state allows tinting of the rear side windows and rear window. Percentage of light transmission allowed varies by state. Topgun station wagon #1. Best competitor is the incredible Subaru Outback. More power and almost $20,000 less. Far superior AWD system as well. Signia offers excellent fuel economy and Lexus like interior. Irritating shifter. Superb interior ergonomically speaking. Boring and dull design. Super quiet with terrific sound dampening. Pricing is high however. $60,000. That’s Lexus NX and RX territory. 😬 Avoid the giant pano roof. Customers hate it. It’s a heat generating greenhouse with leakage issues. It will be brutal on hot summer days. XLE the wiser model choice. (It arrives early 2025). Low profile tires a huge negative. Target market is educated, older (60+) female seniors. Rating: 7.0/10 ✅
