Based on the benchmark-setting YZ 450 F motocrosser, the YZ 450 FX is designed to dominate cross country competition. Its lightweight, compact chassis, powerful four-stroke engine, exceptional rider ergonomics, and Yamaha's groundbreaking next-generation Power Tuner app all carry over directly from the class-leading YZ 450 F. Additional modifications tailored toward enhanced X C performance include a wide-ratio transmission, larger fuel capacity, 18-inch rear wheel, side stand, skid plate, revised ECU and suspension settings, along with a 10mm lower seat height for increased maneuverability in challenging off-road conditions.

Class-Leading Suspension
World renowned suspension performance straight out of the box. High-spec fully adjustable Speed Sensitive System KYB® coil spring-type fork provides exceptional bump absorption, and now features toolless compression clickers for easy adjustment and new fork covers to help prevent debris damage. The linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB® shock with cross-country focused damping characteristics to match the YZ 450 FX refined chassis.
High Performance Braking System
Compact front and rear brake calipers work with aggressive pad compounds and lightweight discs to provide exceptional braking power and control, efficiently dissipate heat, and reduce unsprung weight.
Ergonomics Designed for Control
The YZ 450 FX slim, flat, compact body eases rider movement for improved control, including seamless, rounded features from seat edges and side covers to the narrow fuel tank and front shroud. The rider triangle is also designed to provide increased legroom between the seat and foot pegs for enhanced rider comfort.
High Performance Braking System
A large 270mm front brake disc and 240mm rear are coupled with high performance Nissin caliper and aggressive pad material to provide exceptional stopping power and control.
Cross Country Wheels & Tires
The YZ 450 FX's 18-inch rear wheel comes laced with a three-cross-spoke pattern for improved impact absorption and rider feel. Wheels come wrapped in Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires for an ideal balance of traction and durability.
