Thanks Josh ! I didnt get an accuracy improvement from my MDT chassis, but as you said, I find it much easier to shoot consistently . Can't wait to see what the IBI does. That little factory barrel shoots pretty darned good. The Eley Match will likely be a better match for the Lilja. My CZ 16" barrel loves SK Rifle Match over Eley. I believe IBI barrels are made to perform best with Sk ammo. But it would be really tough to do exhaustive ammo testing with each barrel. But without doing so, I think the deck is slightly stacked to the Lilja.

Hey Josh love the videos. Just got into the precision rimfire stuff telling myself it would be cheaper than shooting my center fire stuff all the time… LOL. Anyways I bought a ruger LRT and hate it. I didn’t know what I was buying at the time and going to swap it out for a CZ457. If I’m going to swap the barrels out on it, is there any reason to buy the 457 precision trainer MTR over the regular precision trainer? There’s about a 400 dollar price difference but if I’m swapping the barrels out I don’t see the need to spend the extra cash.

Watching you had inspired me to get into precision rimfire. Just picked up a bergara bmr to give it a try. Looking for suggestions on the bags you use for resting the stock on. I imagine they all do the same thing but wasn't sure if one would be better than another. Appreciate all of the info you put into all of your videos. Going to do an ammo test on my bergara and see what it likes. Keep it up!

I looked at the standard element 4, not the magnesium one, and it says factory magazines only for the cz457. It looks like you are using the anarchy mags with extensions just fine. I was thinking of getting a standard buffer tube with a magpul prs gen 3 buttstock and add the barrel channel weight under the Lilja barrel.

Hey Steve. My daughter uses the element 4.0 and she is using the anarchy mag extensions. Now I will say the ACC is a very tight fit. Meaning you don't have much room to sneak a finger in there to release the magazine. I'm just extremely use to that setup so it's not an issue for me.

@@PursuitofAccuracy I'm leaning between this stock and the pdc custom g5c, either one I'm sure I will have to add weight. I just installed the Lilja barrel a little over a week ago. Very happy with it but it's still in the pro varmint stock. I did do the Pete's pillars and the aluminum magwell with the anarchy outdoors extended mag release that is not made out of metal. I have several anarchy mags with the mag extensions and the short action custom extra mag holder. Pretty messy weather this week.

@@stevereese6488 having seen both id steer you towards the element 4.0. The pdc custom is a good chassis but the finish is just very rough.

@@PursuitofAccuracy well, pretty much all the aluminum chassis out there are from a few months to 7 month wait, so I narrowed it down between the krg bravo and the mdt xrs. I went with the xrs and added the weight and their 10.25 inch mlock arca rail, the weight is about a 2 month backorder but the rest should ship this week. Maybe one day in the future I will look into the aluminum chassis again but I think this will do fine for now and I think I can adjust it short enough on lop for my grandsons.

I do love the series on the build but can’t justify the limited increase in accuracy over the stock gun…especially with not testing more ammo…for similar money I would rather bite the bullet and buy a custom barreled action. But love the video series.

Cold weather does funny things. Yeah, it makes the lube cold and your latest project breaks your heart when it doesn't feed. Or it drops a shot low after a 30 minute wait for a pest to peak it's head out of a hole..

338 Lapua is overpriced and overhyped. Might as well shoot a 50 bmg for the money you're spending. More bang for the buck. Lol.
