Could always make a granny square or two once you are done with a project using the left over yarn. Eventually you would have an afghan worth of squares. Maybe by the end of the year.

As someone who's never played dnd I wanna say thank you Michelle for giving me an excuse to buy pretty dnd dice. This idea is super cute and creative!
@lisadrake6165Ай бұрын
@TonyMarzipan my son has a ton of the dice, but of course I didn't get the pretty one, just plain dice.🤣

The bag turned out so good! That scalloped border *chef kiss*. This was such a fun journey to keep up with.

This was such a great idea. Bite sized chunks of a reasonably sized project is so much less overwhelming. Thanks for sharing!

I loved this idea. I took your idea [& my son's dice] to create 42 squares. I only used 10 cool tones and 10 warm tones. I am putting them together as lap blanket to donate to Camp Boggy Creek. I love the scallop border idea. I am planning to use the dice to decide other projects😊 BRILLIANT IDEA

Love this! I'm doing a D&D blanket instead of a temperature blanket where I roll a D20 every time I played in 2024, and for next year I'm looking at doing a large 15ish round granny square for every month, again one roll for every game, but I might steal this idea as well to make a bag at some point! Thanks!!

Bag is awesome, Michelle! Your idea of putting the black broadcloth in between the inner lining and the granny squares was inspired…! Also love that you added the scalloped border. It makes the bag look really “finished”. This was a very fun series, and I appreciate your time and energy to put it all together! Happy New Year to you and your family! 🥰

Your bag came out so awsome . I'll be constructing my blanket soon still deciding what colour to join with. And I'll have 60 squares to join. But it'll be worth it for next winter. Thanks again for the best idea . 😊

That thrifted blanket brown color reminds me of a pattern I found in my moms stash of patterns. Lots of 1970-80s patterns. That color choice reminds me of one that was a Wintuk yarn. I don’t remember who bought that company out or if it just went of out business. I have a couple chevron ones she made around that same era and the yarn is very reminiscent of Simply Soft for thickness and texture but not as splitty.

love how the final bag turned out! the double lining is brilliant. also loved seeing everyone’s squares and projects! thanks for sharing ❤ i couldn’t participate unfortunately but if you do “events” like this more than once a year, i’m sure more people can send in their projects too :D i’m currently waiting on some variegated yarn to arrive to do a blanket of granny squares. your video definitely inspired me

Girl, when it comes to sewing, I feel you on the running out of bobbin thread. I made a quilt for my in-laws and ran out of bobbin thread too many times that I lost count. So, I went and bought extra bobbins and filled them all up just in case I needed them.
