I have been very fortunate as a UK Veteran to spend a weekend on one of Nicks Woodland Warrior Weekends. Reconnecting with the outdoors and spending time away from the daily grind has been a huge benefit and allowed me to find some inner comfort and a safe place to go when required. Thank you Nick and the team for all the amazing hard work.

Thanks for making this one, Mike. Great to see Nick again and to catch up with what he’s up to. Good news to hear that he might be present on the tubes again - the previous channel rapidly became an essential part of the corpus, in my view, delivering (along with the likes of yourself, and notable others) practical, realistic outdoor skills in an entertaining and calming way. And then much missed, although I recognise of course that every content maker has their own life to live, first and foremost. Good on all of you.

{{3}} Great find! I just came across the new crowdfunding project for freebeat's Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. It's a game-changer in the e-bike industry with its outstanding features. One of the most impressive things is the indoor mode where you can recharge the bike while using it indoors. The brushless 750W motor, 80Nm torque, and top speed of 20mph make it a powerful ride. Plus, the 80mm front suspension, puncture-resistant fat tires, and IPX5 Waterproof finish ensure a smooth and reliable journey in any weather condition. And don't forget about the Smart Saddle Detection+ and the unique ability to convert your indoor fitness efforts into CO2-free miles for outdoor rides. What a brilliant way to combine fitness, technology, and sustainability!

I echo all of the previous contributor's comments. I have watched all of the HVB videos and have been on the Woodland Warrior Programme weekends and outings. What an amazing experience I have had as a result. It gave me the confidence to go into the outdoors and reconnect with the countryside. All is done in a safe learning environment. What an ambassador for the veteran community to learn about mother nature through bushcraft.

Thank you for arranging this video with Nick, we watched many of his previous videos and had wondered where he had gone. Great to see him thriving in an environment that he enjoys and can pass on quality info to people that as we noted could save someone's life one day. The cabin was a winner, families must love that and we know several veterans that have put their families through challenging times on their journey to a better place, so huge respect for the Woodland Warroir work! Now subscribed to both, looking forward to reading the book.

Great video lads, The UK needs more bushcraft schools and dedicated places where people can practice their hobbies. Its becoming harder to find land owners who will give you permission to access their land. I started bushcraft/survival camping when i was about 10, using my grandfathers canvas P37 web set to store my gear and an old British Army clasp knife. the Changes to UK knife laws is also making things harder for people. I'm now living in France where the rules on wild Camping "le camping sauvage" and Knives are less strict (everybody carries at least one folding lockable 4' cheese knife) dans la campagne

What an utterly honorable gesture, friend. Plenty of folk would see a man this genuinely capable and thoroughly professional as very serious competition and a threat to be avoided. You, instead, embraced his very impressive talents and handed your channel(with years of your hard work and hard-earned audience) over to him, unabated and without interfering and being at all controlling, to expand his voice. Thoroughly commendable and humble. Instantly subbed just for that and looking forward to catching up on your past pieces. Then on to find Nicks presence and do the same. Thank you kindly for sharing, friend. Take care.

I've made a spoon on a whim next to a campfire by burning out the bowl with a small ember of charcoal, blowing on it and causing the wood to char in a very localized area, then clearing it out with some sand and water as a paste, and then scraping the mess off with the tip of my daily carry SOG folder - while at an abandoned old Soviet airfield in Latvia, running a 100+ person LARP event with no facilities of any kind (the outhouse didn't even have a seat, until I made one out of some scrap lumber lying around). You can do a lot more with a lot less, if you put your mind to it. I used the spoon to eat the local Army Veterans Association's field kitchen foods for the entire event. It's still knocking about somewhere.

Thank you, Just playing with one of my kids and copying your techniques is a great way to teach and I hope to encourage them into a DofE mindset like you teach and I show them your footage. An eight yr old is camping tonight and the "make do" or "resourceful/make do" teaching is so important". I have also helped a friend in a professional re-training context (in a very small way) through his PTSD from Army tours to modern life and it's just great to see people large and small connect with nature and maybe pass on the basics hands skills. I am already playing with the kids about the blowing trick, maybe one day this will prevent them being dependant on an app or battery fan to light a fire :--) Its a great foundation learning and should be customised for every country. Even urban survival has basic skills that can be applied from here IMHO.

I'm very impressed by the video. I did the 11LMB training, injury after 4,5 months. Start over or go to another unit. I went to a recon platoon. RM Commando is recon. I was expecting a oooow look at me, i'm a marine always remember the 5c's and look at my big knife bla bla video. But he was very personal sharing his experiences showing weakness getting ptsd. A kind and gentle man but very tough guy. We're not made of stone and I'm happy he managed to turn a bad experience into something good to help others learn. He's teaching in a calm way, that makes you want to listen and pay attention. He's a very good instructor. Tiny comment to the first aid bit in the video. Do not buy a big first aid kit and think, I'm gonna be okay now. Follow a course how to use it. I did a first aid course with cpr before the army. In the army trained as a combat life saver (cls) and it's 5 weeks. Get training. Knowledge is more important as gear. You can make a tourniquet from a strip of a t-shirt. Don't buy a gun with no training. You will hit everything but your target and probably shoot your foot. Training.

And Tasmanian Tiger is awesome. I have a TT modular 45+. It comes with 3 pouches and gun straps for like a h&k mp7. The backpack opens clamshell top to bottom. And stick your gear pouches in with velcro on the walls. Molle inside and out.The quality is amazing. But you're talking about a 400 euro backpack with the extra pouch kit. And 25+ sizes of pouches in different sizes to attach to the molle in or outside. Their range range is crazy. 900+ items, backpacks, plate carriers, they have everything. tacwrk is where i get my tt stuff.

Great to see Nick again. A lot of us miss his channel, so seeing him on this was a treat. Read & re read his book twice... haven't been able to do much forest bathing lately... here in the deep U.S. South the temps & heat indices have been triple digits 100° F plus. But Fall will arrive. Enjoyed your video mate. Regards to Nick.
