Kate, I really liked the focus on the back stretches at the beginning in this class! My back and shoulder mobility has always been my weak point and holds me back from doing any behind the back poses, so I really enjoy when you introduce stretches to help me improve this. I enjoyed bubbling around in this practice. This is my second time for this one. The first time, I used it as an audio only meditation while driving, enjoying the clear and consistent breath pattern. Today, the etmology was appreciated. It's always good to be reminded of the origin of our practice. Still working on my form in skandasana. I loved the hip openers! Your retro black on black on black helps to move the focus of this class away from fashion and to the classic origins linking breath & movement. Thank you for your attention to the details.🙏

This scanda-asana was a bit challenging for me🥵😄. And as I said in your live chat 💬 this morning I had your 1 hour class video vin to yin 👍 and afterwards I saw this live class and joined it😂. 1 and half hour session with you this morning 💪. I know that not everyone like music during the class but I personally would prefer to have some meditative music 🎶 like the ones you have in some of your videos. I have a couple of questions: -Do you have any suggestions for when you lift to three-legged dog how to lift the leg higher if you feel restricted on the upper front side of the thigh going up the hip? -Do you also have any suggestions for correct shoulder posture when going to lizard pose when you're putting the hands forward? I tend to feel hunched in general when doing this posture until I open up but this felt a little awkward?

1. For lifting higher in 3 legged dog it's both flexibility AND strength. Standing splits will help. The tightness is hip flexors. Work your low lunge and try to incorporate backbending into your low lunge to target the hip flexors. 2. Hunched in lizard may mean you need the ground to be a bit higher. Use props until you can keep a straight back and often the bent leg is the one restricting this movement, so try to work into that bent leg outter hip. Hope this helps but shout with more questions!
