I wonder what the equivalent of spending 250,000 in cali is vs somewhere in the Midwest? Like is this a 50-100k job in the Midwest and it’s just so much more expensive due to material and labor cost in cali?
@Raybueno20203 ай бұрын
Here in Chicago that might be around $170-200k, not too far off

This should’ve been higher cost due to red brick, since it requires way more labor to fit them perfectly. Cost of everything is higher in Cali. But I hated red brick and we spent a lot of money removing and covering it up when we did the landscaping… We just finished with new pool, landscape all 4 side, paver drive way etc located in SoCal..

51 days of labor approx 70-80 grand let’s say 100-110 with all the payroll taxes and one off hires. Probably save a little money on trees because of what can successfully grow in Midwest. Bricks are a little cheaper but still expensive… about $1 each brick and 30 percent of the brick you purchase are not usable.

I will never understand spending $250k on landscaping for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom house.

That house is $3-4M. $250k is not a lot (5%)

@@MrDavidhar I know, and that's an absurd amount for a tiny house on a tiny lot in a ridiculous liberal big city

@@seanyiya So sad. I would hate to be stacked on top of my neighbors like this. The fact they had to buy 15-20 tall shrubs at $1k a piece just for privacy from their nosy neighbors.

Personally I would of stepped up the brick wall instead of sloping it up looks kinda janky and I would of did a nice roll lock course to cap off the brick wall but other than that looks nice

Only $250K, this seems more like a $400k job. You should have probably charged more.
