Thing about 450s: when you hit big ruts it's no big deal like with the 250, but then you give up control. Feels more like you're riding it instead of you driving it like a 250. But in my experience, they can handle bigger grooves, deeper mud, etc.

Love yahama started riding them as a kid have a 125cc four stroke, 230 cc four stroke , always had a blast on them. But now have a 15' kx 450 things a beast . 450's bring some serious power. The 2018 yahamas out now are sick

The 450 obviously is twice the bike. I found that out riding with a friend. My 250 wide open and the 450 run away from me + 60 mph on a wheelie. He killed me in the hills and trees also.

250f is lighter and more convenient to the rider, as in the 450 you have that extra weight. personal opinion but it’s different preference

The engine doesn't matter on the track only if you are a real pro. What matters is the gear ratio(the shorter the faster the lap), the wheels, the weight and the suspension.

From 1:40 to 1:45 you see the dude just stand up and let the 250 go by. You can see from the start how much faster the 450 would be. I like the riding video, but as a comparison video, it's stupid and rigged.

NorthWestRider 450 had it a way to hifher gear and the 250 landed that much sooner... So he just let it in a lower gear and let those revs go up, passed the 450... And lets be honest, as soon as you get into the corner the 250 will just get out of short corners as a rocket... I like both do this opinion is bias fyi... Buth i do ride a 300 husky (enduro)

NorthWestRider It's easy to tell which is faster watch pro mx, lap times are the same or 1/2 the time the 250fs are faster... usually the 10th place guy in the 250 class is turning lap times the same as 3rd place in the 450 class...btw also 80% of the time the 125 two strokes are the fastest bikes on the track... don't believe it go to any mx track bring your stop watch.

Jaka Berdajs 450s are a lot faster in a drag race to be sure. I’ve found a way to make my 450SXF corner more like a 250 though. Run a 100/90/19 rear tire instead of the 120/80/19 and the 450 dives into corners more like a 125 or 250.

joracer1 that’s not even close to accurate. The same rider on a 450 will turn several seconds faster than a 125 it’s not even close. 250Fs are typically faster than 125s and 150s as well.
